How funny would it be if they used the money from Moses to sign Gaston Ramirez

Interesting game this one. How many teams in the Prem would put themselves down for a home win against Wigan? I reckon 19, give or take. But only 10 did last season, so this is no gimme. We are favourites though and I'm pretty confident. And well excited.

Ref watch - Anthony Taylor, like last week's ref, is a Manc (not really, Webb is from Rotherham or somewhere). His last Saints game was...the 4-0 win against Coventry. He left 5 minutes before the end though to get out of the pitch invasion, which was sensible. And his most recent game was Pompey's 1-1 draw against Bournemouth where Barney scored. Is that an omen? No. Oh and he's bald. Also the 4th Official is from Cheshire so I hope we're not paying travel expenses.

It's a cliche but it's true - there are no easy games at this level.

    Except this one. 3-0 Saints.

People underestimating Wigan, they more than matched Chelsea having gone 2 down and toward the back end of last season were on unbelievable form, still confident with my earlier prediction though 2-1.

Just saw a tweet from Adam Blackmore:
'One stat that seems to have eluded most Prem previews is that today is Nigel Adkins 100th game in charge at #saintsfc W60 D18 L21'

It could also be said that people are overestimating Chelsea! Regardless, Wigan were fantastic at the tail end of last season and were great for 70 minutes last week. It doesn't matter if it's Wigan or Man Utd though, Nige will be targeting three points especially as we are at home. I expect Clyne, Guly and Lambert to shine today (not that they're all in my dream team or anything.....).

PS What's the best site to stream on again? The 900 mile round trip is a little unreasonable towards Mrs hotbovril who is currently 5 days overdue with the next Saints fan!
