    BBC Gossip Column has linked us with 27-year-old Berlgium and Anderlecht goalkeeper, Silvio Proto.

    Lazy Journalism...

    We already have 2 excellent young goalkeepers, and another two with promising ones coming through the youth academy. Why would we buy another one???

    It doesn't make sense to me, so my guess is it's rubbish

    Thoughts?

    yeah am sure it is, am sure a was reading somewhere that pardew cant carry the 3 goal keepers next season (harps, krul and foster) so he was gona send 1 out on loan again!

    Read this last night, it's totally bollocks. Harps may be 36 but he's easily got at least another year in him, and Krul and Forster aren't entirely inexperienced are they? Krul kept a clean sheet against United and has a handful of Premier League games under his belt, I'd hardly call that entirely inexperienced!

    Yeah, when I read this I knew it was complete 'rubbish'. Harper, Krul, Forster, Soderberg looks handy (made a great save yesterday) and Alnwick. I was also bemused when we were linked to Westwood :huh:

    Not forgetting Forster has an entire season of SPL under his belt. We do not need a goalkeeper right now.

    The next Drogba would be nice though...
