Pompey could have a massive say in who takes 2nd spot in the Championship and that all-important automatic promotion spot.

Pompey travel to Cardiff tomorrow. We then host Swansea on Easter Saturday, while Norwich are the last visitors to Fratton Park on 2nd May.

How do you see these games ending and who will clinch 2nd?

Hard to say Dev, but I bet, all three of those teams, are looking at us with hungry eyes.

I was going to buy tickets for the last home game of the season, as well as the away game on the final day, but quite frankly the team look like they are now ready for there summer jolly's, and the amount of effort they are putting in recently does not give me any insentive to do so.

Sorry Pompey, will see you next season.

I think there's probably an element of truth in that Jake. I suppose we've been spoiled for so many years, with some-thing to play for right up to the end of the season, that we are in unfamiliar territory this season with nothing at stake.

Are there players who are looking for new contracts in the closed season? If so, put them on the park so they can prove they're worth the contracts they want!

I'm happy with a boring end to the season. We achieved all I wanted us to achieve this season by being safely mid-table. I would have liked to have seen more young players that just Joel Ward and Nadir Ciftci (though he hasn't really played in quite a while) tried out in the first team if not brought through to the main team but even so we are about where I expected us to be.

Agreed MAJR, I think you've adroitly summed up how most of us feel.
    Welcome to not606 too!

The way Pompey are playing at the mo I have to say that we are easy fodder for the teams chasing promotion . I suppose we cant moan too much when we all expected to be in the mire fighting for our survival . Also at the start of the season , some daily rag , which one I cannot remember , predicted that Pompey will be one of the teams to go down . So that to me is an achievement in itself that we have managed to consolidate despite all that has happened. Lets not forget , IMO Pompey gave a considerable head start to the other teams in the division . No proper squad to boast about , player embargo and not a single win in 7 matches . SC has managed all that with a squad in tatters from the previous season mostly made up of loanees (rejects) from other clubs . And what about contactual issues ? RH , MB , TBH to name but a few . And on massive wages mind you !!! If you ask me , I would say I am quite happy with our season as I expected much worse . Any true Pompey fan would say the same . PUP.

If the bottom of the table remains close till the last game there will be a load of worried Palace fans looking to Pompey for help.

    Cardiff fan in peace!

Your guys certainly looked committed last Saturday so not sure it's fair to question their effort on that performance. Anyway, you can have a massive impact on the race for that second spot so do us a favour and take some points off the jacks and Norwich!

Was impressed by the numbers you brought last Saturday, for any of you guys that made the journey down I hope you enjoyed it (obviously not the result!) and good luck for next season.

Sorry mate, we must have been watching a different Pompey team, the one I saw seemed highly uncommited and put in next to no effort :( It's been the same pretty much since the Reading game.
