I hope they sort out the online stuff. I was not happy with the online play last season with that whole season thing instead of the normal ranked head to head. Could not even see what team you would be up against in that season version.
To be fair, there was a 75% chance it would be Barcelona or Real Madrid. My issues with the online were the crap servers, they just crashed all the time, i lost my connection too often.
Exactly, that's why it was annoying. Before, I could just quit when I saw what team the other guy was picking.
I see that Adam Johnson has moved to Sunderland. Decent player but he is overrated for me. Has one trick which is to cut in and shoot, like a poor version of Robben.
Yeah, agree with you. He's pretty easy to defend against, you just force him onto his dreadful right foot, and then you're safe.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/19364375 Sahin deal almost complete. No mention of a buy option for Liverpool though.
Looks like a crap deal if I may say so. Yes he had a good season at Bundesliga, but he made less appearances at RM than Lassana Diarra (25 vs 11) in that position, and they expect us to break our whole team fluidity just for one season? No thanks!
He was injured last season and struggled to get back into a title winning team, but that doesn't negate his quality. He is a top drawer player and I would have loved to have seen him at Arsenal, BUT - if the figures are right that Liverpool are paying the majority of his £120k wages and a £5m fee to loan him. Then it works out at nearly £10m for a player for one season and that is a crap deal.
He didn't miss too much of the season through injury... still had 2/3 of the season ahead of him. Just saying if Mourinho thinks he "doesn't have a few qualities yet" which the PL might help him develop, it doesn't really say much about what he'd be able to accomplish in a season. I doubt Wenger would start him in more than 25 games or so. If you are good, you should be competition to the likes of Diarra and Khedira at least against crap sides. It's not like RM use a classic DM in most their games, he wasn't just in competition with Alonso.
The 5 mil is deductible from any transfer at the end of the season of which we have first refusal (whatever good that is) if Real sell. At the end of the day options and first refusals are meaningless, if Sahin falls in love with the club then a deal will be made (especially with br and mourinhos relationship) and vice versa if he didn't enjoy the club and wanted to go back to real an an option to buy is pretty worthless!
He could have gone to one of a multitude of clubs if his sole desire was CL football, he's a talented player and sure there would have been interest from others.
If the larger portion of the wage was the decider, RM was responsible for that. Sahin, I presume, wouldn't give a rat's ass about who pays his wages as long as he gets paid. He wanted to come to Arsenal.
Don't mind that he wanted to go to Arsenal - of course he did, you have CL football, and why else would he care? He's a Turk that spent most of his life in Germany, he probably couldn't care less about either of us. Saying that, he's a professional and will play as such.
