Howay man, Cisse scored 13 in 14 games last season and has had a class record everywhere he played - writing him off after 2 games is a bit short sighted!

One season wonder, there have been loads of them.

Cest, that does look a half decent side. Mon, you're not better at the back. When Taylor and Colo played together for the first dozen games of the season, we had the best defence in the league. (Check it out). Our midfield is beyond question, and we have two prolific forwards. We've got a couple of exiting prospects (Bigi, Amal and Campbell), apart from Marveaux, Abeid, Vuckic. Alright, you're getting close, but I reckon we'll have the upper hand to come. And we've got one or two Carr class signings to come in. I know you've got to support your team, but howay lads, you know what's gonna happen. <OK>

We conceded 5 less last season, despite only Bardo being fit consistently.

Cuellar for Turner makes us stronger still, as will the new LB, whether that be Strinic, or Olsson.

Already, we have conceded one less than you, despite a tough away fixture.

    Facts.

No mate, they're young reserves coming through, all decent prospects. Household names in a couple of years. <whistle>

I don't think anyone would deny defense is our weakest position...We played 5"9 Danny Simpson at CB at one point - we struggled!

Our goals conceded tally is skewed though, 'cause we lost by huge margins on a few occasions (I know they all still count)...We've had to sacrifice some of our defensive strength in favour of attacking flair, but I'd rather see us concede goals and finish high up the table than suffer 0:0 draws and focus on the clean sheet!

Don't be bringing facts into it! You're still below us. Fact. <laugh>

If we're both challenging for Europe at the end of this season, Ill be more than happy. Fact. As long as we finish higher than you sorry bunch.

Despite today being a superb day for us I really believe that we are not finished yet either. Another top striker is a priority given Campbell could be sold yet so watch this space.

I would add that our bench is getting stronger as well with the likes of Westwood, Colback, Gardener, Vaughan, Brown and Saha to choose from. There isn't a *** paper between the 2 teams but if you want to play the favourites like I say, fill ya boots. I think you all know this is too close to call now and if we added say Olsson or Strinic and then a Defoe or Dempsey (both now don't seem so far fetched after AJ's signature as he must be happy at the clubs ambitions) I think the balance would tip towards us mate.

Fletcher wil exploit any weaknesses in height and thats what Caroll did to us. He is a physical and technically sound targetman and can score goals. We've lacked that cutting edge in recent games and in tight matches its often small differences that turn the tide.

If you lose Sessegnon which I'm hearing is in the offing, then you're back to square one.

EDIT: Well, not quite, you would have added 10 goals from Fletcher, we'll assume that's about 5 extra points, so you'd still have 15 points to make up ;)

A *** paper? It was about 20 points last year if I remember rightly? Aye you've improved, and god forbid you get Defoe, but the balance is well and truly in our favour.

Good craic tonight lads. An awful lot of fapping from you blokes, I prefer to see it on here when you're bickering. Got knows if you sign someone else!

    Without Sess....

    Fletcher
    McLean Seb Catts Colback Johnson

Still looks ok, arguably better balanced.
