100% true UIR, i'm sure you understand that if it wasn't true SAF would have sued the bollocks off the Irish Times. If you read the link you'll see that SAF freely admitted that he took almost half of the money raised on the night.
The charity event was held in Dublin, The Irish Times is printed in Dublin, The Irish Times lawyers who gave the ok to print the story are based in Dublin. So would you prefer a link from the Manchester Evening News?
Pretty much, obviously you believe sir Alex has done something horrible here but If he had I wouldn't have to search for an Irish paper to read it
So you're doubting his printed admission in the Irish Times and think he wouldn't have took them for millions if it wasn't true?
He got caught bang to rights and instead of holding his hands up and admitting it he said the leukaemia charity fundraiser was 'tribute night' for himself. http://menmedia.co.uk/manchestereveningnews/news/s/76/76359_friends_defend_fergie_in_cash_row.html He was so free of guilt he gave half of the 98k back.
Gtf ya tit, the idea of raising money for a charity is raising money for a charity. It's common practice for celebs to get paid expenses but ffs half of the takings.
shwan, the thing happened while you were still in your town in France and still supporting St Etienne.
You're so full of **** and so out of touch with things it's funny shwan. Dont know or care how the French charity system works but if a celeb agrees to take part here he/she only claim expenses(to get there and back, hotel, meals and drinks)not 98k-50% in this case. Bottom line is he let himself down on this occasion and there's documented proof but instead of accepting it you come out with a ton of bs to justify it.
Oh i can read but it appears you cant, i said what SAF did wasn't right that you were out of order trying to justify it by posting your link. So you think that because others do it it's ok for SAF to deny cancer sufferers help they desperately need by taking half of the money raised? You're sick mate, if not instead of justifying it by the actions of others condemn it.
Well.... The dinner was a testimonial dinner for SAF in which he gave half the proceeds to a very ill jockey..... The story was also an attempted smear campaign by Magnier. That would be the other side of the story Theres also the substantial amount of work that Fergie does for various charities around the world either through himself or under the Man Utd badge. Pretty sure we have discussed this before and the story is a concoction of lies and half truths.
This. IIRC that dinner was part of an overall testimonial celebration for SAF that earned him around £2 million. Some of that went to charity, some of it didn't - same as with anyone else's testimonial. Pretty sure there were a range of charities that benefited from the overall celebration, so the £98,000 that SAF apparently 'kept' may well have ended up going into the overall pot and helped some other charities out.
But the papers twist his words to make him look like a grumpy, unpleasant bastard so he must be an evil, evil man!
Doubt it, Shwan has always said the '78 side was the first he supported. You must be thinking of someone else.
W...T....F Who ever said it was fixed, oh wait Fergie did when united got drawn against Real Madrid. Triple
