We can do lots of "Lennon shot" threads under one of those fake link thingy's... If we all did it, at the same time...... Well, it's funny in my head.... http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/606/A83824293 Like this FAIL Who posted this on another thread Edge ? seems to jar with your current sentiments....or was it the other Edge who posted it ?
You live a sheltered life mate if you never saw any "religious" gangs in Glasgow. Bridgton Derry The Powery The Cumbie The Goucho The Shamrock To name but a few.
Where I stayed, there weren't any. I've never heard of some of them. I knew guys in the Powery, in fact, I played in a 5's team at the Power leagues called the Powery and 2 of the guys were Celtic men.
I see Cardinal O'Brien is the latest to reveal he was sent a live bullet in the post claiming to be from an organisation called the Protestant Action Group, a cover for the UVF. ****ing madness.
This would appear to be unrelated to the current spate of parcel bombs. However, speaking as a high profile Catholic, I certainly won't be taking any chances. I'll be getting a choirboy to open all my mail from now on.
The fact that you never heard of them kind of proves my point? You said there were none, yet I have direct experience of gangs having members who supported one half of the OF The Powery were from the Haghill area of Glasgow as were The Goucho, there were no Celtic supporters in their Ranks, The Shamrock (from Royston) were notorious for being exclusively Celtic fans. I'm sure Google has some info on the ones you have never heard of.
I know the Powery, and they had Celtic fans in it. Like I said. There must be scores if not hundreds of Glasgow gangs, and you've pointed out 5 that may have a religious element. Hardly "worse than Belfast" as Mick pointed out, which was my point in the first place.
I never agreed with Mick that Glasgow is worse than Belfast, I simply pointed out that Glasgow did (and may well still have) gangs which were sectarian in nature, I listed 5 which I had direct experience of, I am sure there are many more. You said "And here, we don't have religous gangs", I was merely pointing out that was innacurate.
