Come on lads, we live in hope of a certain...

    JR?

Evidence: Vaughan has gone to Huddersfield on loan for season, confirmed on NCFC Twitter.

    http://www.canaries.co.uk/news/article/vaughan-leaves-on-loan-332793.aspx

If it ain't JR, a striker will be imminent as no crazy manager enters the PL Season with just 3 recognised Premier League quality strikers (and Jackson is pushing that definition at best!)

Sorry couldn't resist (you know my thoughts on JR), but you've got to agree that a striker will be signed soon surely?

I would say we should be given one of QPR's strikers as a charitable gift, seeing as they have 8 or so, but that would be akin to receiving a lump of coal for christmas

We have been linked with Ameobi yet again!

As for Rhodes, I reckon we get first refusal as part of the Vaughan deal, and would not be surprised to see him arrive, no matter what Supers may say or think! :)

IMO If we don't sign a recognised striker before the transfer window closes we can forget PL football next season. I may get slaughtered for saying this, but I genuinely believe that Holt won't get to double figures this year, same for Morison. Jackson, he can't hit a barn door with a banjo, so basically unless we splash the cash for a decent striker we're ****ed !!

I'm coming round to this view (that those 3 will struggle in their second season). It's only a view and they have to prove it on the pitch, but my view of our front line is very much glass half full

That's not a very charitable assessment of a player whose goals took us up. I think he's looked fine when he plays alongside Holt. He tends to score in patches, but his game is really about speed and movement and I think he is very good in this department. He also works hard, and, if he had been playing last Saturday, he would have looked a damn sight more motivated than a lot of those who did play.

I agree with kick it off. I don't think Holt will be as good as he has been in the last couple of years. In the preseason games i have seen and the Fulham game we don't look like scoring in my opinion. I think we need to sign at least one striker would prefer two though.

Holty never gets going until September so please don't be writing him off after one (or even two or three if he doesn't score today or next week either) game because that's just plain ridiculous.

Whats more ridiculous is that people write him off year after year! Surely he's proved everyone wrong about 3 or 4 times by now. Get behind the big man! He is our savior!
