Is anyone else seeing the news from West ham? Apparently they are about to sign Matt Jarvis for 10m.. WTF!

I don't know where West ham are getting their money from but 10m is ridiculous.. Jarvis is worth about 5m at best!

Jarvis is a canny player, I'd quite like him at Newcastle but £10m is far too much.

Wolves are pulling a double Carroll on West Ham and Sunderland.

For a relegated team, Wolves have done well with these deals. Players often go for a lot less than they are worth after relegation, but Wolves have managed to hold out and force the arms of Sunderland & West Ham. Jarvis + Fletcher are both decent players, but to me they are not worth these prices.

The Wolves fans on reddit were saying theclub is finacially secure, players on sensible wages etc etc and they didnt need or want to sell anyone, and thats why they kept rejecting offers till the price was too good to turn down ..

But still 14m for fletcher and 10m for jarvis ..I like them as players but thats a steep price to pay for your basic good/solid players

Exactly. We've 'moved on' from better players than those two due to similar demands from other cliubs. Both 'decent' but not 'great'. <ok>

I did not use to mind either clubs, they were proper clubs but now I hate them, more qpr then west ham tbf, fletcher is a typical buy if you need to try and stay up look at his previous clubs relagation fodder. 12 million for fletcher makes me realise how astute we have become in the transfer market still thing we are waver thin and that's before fat mike sells one of our prize jewells

QPR are laughable, their after signing about 10 players, not one of them gives a **** about the club, they just couldnt turn down the money the idiot board are willing to give them. Julio Cesar is next, why in the name of christ would he want to go there.

Seems to me that the vast majority of the league just spent money for the sake of it.

Interesting article in the guardian today, saying that most of their new signings are over 29. No sell on value whatsoever. Now they are trying to sign Carvalhio and Defoe.

Good luck shifting their wages off your books. Sound familiar??

Here: "After Barton, 28-years-old when he arrived in August 2011 and who has been linked with a loan move to Marseille, came Luke Young (32, joined last August), Shaun Wright-Phillips (29, last August), Djibril Cissé (30, January) Bobby Zamora (30, January), Andrew Johnson (31, this summer), Ryan Nelsen (34, this summer), Rob Green (32, this summer), Park Ji-sung (31, this summer) and Dawson, who is 28.
If the 34-year-old Carvalho and Defoe, 29, arrive, then expect the wags at Loftus Road to whistle the theme from Dad's Army whenever QPR play. Hughes's squad also includes Kieron Dyer, 33, and Shaun Derry, 34. Both were named on the bench against Swansea."

    They are the anti-Toon.

Our business model is buy them young for the right price and potentially sell them on for big money.

QPR's is to buy them old for big money and watch them leave for nowt when they retire.

QPR are FFS-era Newcastle, just minus about 30,000 fans. Really surprised they haven't snapped up Michael Owen!

When signing his new contract with QPR, Owen suffered extensive paper cuts and is expected to be out for the remainder of the season.

£15m target Berbatov is expected to be unveiled tomorrow as his replacement.

That IS interesting. Sounds like Dad's Army. I'm guessing Barton must be Pike - stupid boy!
