Beat Wigan on Saturday and Premiership status for next season is assured. In fact the odds are ok that we would jump back into the top half of the table.Win all our remaining games and we would probably pip Everton for 7th spot, which is what we realistically hoped for last October. I've just had a shot at the Beeb's remaining games predictor and came up with the following: Manchester United to be crowned Champions with 79pts. Arsenal to pip Chelsea on goal difference for second with 77pts. Man City to finish fourth. Relegation Blackburn with 38 pts,Wigan and Blackpool on the "naughty step" Head ruling heart Sunderland to finish 13th with 45pts and a lot of unanswered questions.Try It ?
After thought: For our resident teenage cretins Newcastle have exceeded expectations this year for a newly promoted blah, blah blah Yellow fellow with glasses dancing....your fail is epic cos.....****That etc.,****,prick,****y,More yellow smiley faces. Ok you said it before.
No I do not.On the contary Mr Trolling I think you will find if you read the article I am predicting Sunderland to achieve 45 pts by the end of the season. Wow plus add Liar/Thick as mince to post NO 2
To confirm the OP's contention, I have done the BBC predictor, predicting absolutely the worst scenario for us every week, obviously losing every game and those below us winning. The bottom of the table at the end of the season looks like this: 13.Newcastle 45p 14 Aston Villa 45p 15 West Ham United 45p 16 Wolves 45p 17 Blackpool 45p 18 Blackburn 43p 19 Stoke 38p 20 Sunderland 38p OK, for this to happen, the current stonewall candidates for relegation have to pull off some highly unexpected wins. On the bright side, if we win all our remaining matches, we finish fifth (since all the top teams lose against the bottom ones) and it's Europe next year. Realistically emoticon-0107-sweat), all of those teams on 45p are going to drop 3 or 4 points (aren't they?) so 41 seems to be a realistic total.
Mack, I hope you are right but I keep having nightmares about trapdoors opening up and not being able to stop falling through. After last season's hiccup I did wonder if SB was the man, after this slide plus the selling of Bent and Jones and not getting a left back and winger etc, I am afraid judging SB over two season says he is not up to the job.
Yeah so do I mate.It shows how important winning on Saturday means (a real 6 pointer).I am pretty sure by this time next week our position will be clearer. The sad thing is I would accept finishing 13th now but with the usual feeling of what might have been and I am afraid I would be joining the Bruce out brigade.
I know it's tongue in cheek Chatsnoir, but it sends shivers where it should'nt.When i did it last game of the season we needed a win for top ten position and Wolves needed three points to stay up.They won 1-0.
