No, I'd spend the extortionate amount of money he'd cost on a tough central midfielder. But if it's him or nothing then yes.

But to counter that, we have both Evans and McKenna who are our gritty, tough midfielders. The real problem for the Club is scoring, so spending more money on strikers makes more sense than signing more midfielders when we seem to have enough really.

We need a totally solid bloke who is full of beans and can win balls in the air too, to take pressure off our more forward thinking players to defend so they have more freedom to attack, that will help the goals come. Neither Evans or McKenna are quite that good, if McKenna was younger he'd be perfect but I think Evans is more a box to box Marney style player than a solid protector.

Fair enough. Can't disagree with any of them points. McKenna is closest we have to the nitty gritty, 'not scared to tackle' sort of midfielder but as you say, he is getting on. I'd try and maybe get one on loan or from a free though as I personally, would prioritize signing a goalscorer.

Not in a million years,, imo. He had his chance. If Fulham are serious then he will go there me thinks.

If we do then why not try and get Deano out of retirement. FC has Deano to thank for what he did here imo.

There's not a hope in hell of us signing Campbell.
If he didn't want to come here when; A. We were a Prem club, B. He was hero worshipped and C. He was still a rookie.
Why would he come when; D. We are a Championship club E. He is still hated by many and F. He could break into the England squad if he stays in the Prem and plays well.

Stop torturing yourselves folks and move on.

I actually disagree. Looking at the source; they've only had one transfer rumour about City from the get-go, which was the Proschwitz rumour.
When everyone else was talking about Heskey they thought we were in for Prozzy... look who was right.
I think there could be something in this!

Sorry Madhog, but that's complete nonsense, he played pretty much every game since Christmas, he's had a full pre-season and played in the first game of this season, he's as fit as anyone in our squad.

It just doesn't make sense that he would want to come though.
Could be that his dad is making the right sounds in order to fire up a bit of interest from Premiership clubs.

Anyone with any principles would not take Campell back.

Personally, I'd love to see him back at the KC, think he's far better than our current strikers.

IF Campbell came back (and its a big IF imo) then as soon as he scored his first goal anything that has happened previously would be forgiven and forgotten. He'd be a big improvement on what we have up front at the moment
