Because they support Liverpool would be my guess. Cant see any other reason, Man Utd are bigger in every sense of the word. Bigger Stadium, Bigger fanbase, more titles, bigger reputation, bigger profit margins. All Liverpool have going for them is that they won a few European Cups in the 80's when football was in the gutter. They even ****ed that up aswell, getting all English clubs banned from Europe.

Worse than Villa, they went for a Swansea manager!! lol Saying that I do rate BR. But he would never have even been considered by Liverpool as a candidate 5 years ago, which shows that they have fallen down in the pecking order.
Said it once on this topic, time to say it again. Beauty (largest) is in the eye of the beholder. EG. There is this Gorgeous female right. Your mate says she is skinny, hardly any blubber, scar along her muzzle, a scraggly lump of matted fur down her side and she doesn't seem interested anyway. True, since Rafa they have had Fulham's manager, Swansea's manager and taken the old duffer from upstairs who was a good manager for them 20 years previously. Liverpool's stock continues to fall every year. They badly need to turn a corner soon or could potentially face decades in the relative football wilderness. When Fergie retires, United will have the likes of Jose being considered which initself shows the gulf.
I have decided not to cast vote here, simply because I cant get my head around " biggest". If you were to ask me the serious question who is the biggest football club you'd have to describe to me what you meant by big! However, if you asked me who the greatest football club are, I'd certainly know the answer to that!
