Fletcher would have been decent back up for anything around £7mil but wouldn't want him for double that and to be our first choice. Jarvis no thanks, had a few decent game but isn't the type of player we need. He stays wide, gets to the line and crosses which would be useless with Suarez & Borini in the middle.

Couldn't disagree more, he needs to work of instinct becasue when he thinks he becomes worse than Downing! Having said that, I am 100% anti-Walcott too <ok>

Plus, I'd rather see Sterling given game time. Jarvis was a last summer thing for me <ok>

I agree with your view on Fletcher too <ok>
 
good point Gerrez,

don't think we made an offer for him, only contact as far as i am aware, ie Sig transfer where he had a choice and chose the wrong one lol.

hopefully he might sign for the saints as you have a good looking team and if more teams like Southampton are successful in the prem we can hopefully get rid of teams like Stoke.

I hope he does join Southampton, always like to see good players in the Premier League <ok>

Plus, if he does settle and do well there, we could poach him once they are back in the championship next season <whistle>
 
Kenny and Commoli were interested in Ramirez, but that interest ended when they both left and Rodgers didn't pursue it.

Lucas Biglia seems to be a very good player so I'm surprised that Norwich are going in for him. No disrepsect, I just thought more top European clubs would be after him.
 
By the way, does anyone else think that Jarvis is last summer's news? I would rather see Sterling given playing time.

I also agree with what IBWT says about Fletcher too. <ok>
