Read on Twitter than Allen has played 100 passes in his 112 minutes on the pitch as a Liverpool player. Out of that 100, 96 have been successful. EDIT: Didn't realise this had just been posted
I was made up when we signed him, I've watched him for 2 seasons before he signed for us and as the Swans fans have said we have signed a very good player.
He may have only played for 20 mins but he was our second best player after Sterling. I had my doubts over him when he first signed but he really can become a special player. Oozes composures and class on the ball - his passing and control is crisp. The worst thing is that he really highlights the fact at how technically behind the other midfielders are. Shelvey and Henderson confirmed last night that they are both ones for the future but are simply not ready yet. They are raw players that have time on their hands but should be not in the starting XI on a regular basis. Allen is always available, wants the ball, brings the ball down AND passes quickly and cleanly. When a player can do all of those things perfectly and consistently, it gives them that extra half a second ahead of the opposition. We have seen the likes of Spearing and Shelvey etc who don't control the ball instantly and they lose that small window of opportunity. Hopefully Sahin can do this and then we'll have a fantastic trio incl Lucas.
