The thread speculates on the punishment that may be handed out to Liverpool by the FA. Given the track record of posturing and vindictiveness exemplified by the Suarez case that resulted in a preposterously extreme sanction by the FA I more than think it reasonable to reference it to this post, given it's about Liverpool and FA penalties. And talking of Liverpool, FA penalties, Fulham, etc, is it okay to ask how wonderfully entertained your Man U chums feel when you again interject on all things that don't involve your own club? Then again, when are you, UIR and Swarbs NOT talking about Liverpool?
This is a complete non-story presented solely for the benefit of Fulham. LFC made an enquiry during a transfer window but have made no further official approach. The only one quote comes from BR who is complementary about the player and then says that he does not talk about other club's players. Whilst FSG do own both NESN and LFC, the FA can only take action against FSC in relation to their ownership of LFC. In this respect they have nothing to investigate. So let's see just how the FA decide to proceed. As the complaint was made a month ago it appears that the FA were hoping that it would just go away.
You make a good point. If the complaint was made in July, why is it surfacing now? Have the FA been sitting on it or is someone stirring the **** again?
From the Mail: "The Reds have to respond over the next fortnight and the Premier League board will decide next month whether to refer the case to a three-man independent panel." An 'independent' panel, like the the Spanish Inquisistion or Henry VIII's star Chamber. Or worse than that, like the one in the Suarez show trial.
"the Flanders pigeon murderer"? Yeah brilliant.could see melchet heading that up Baah! Also why is fat Sam allowed to spout on endlessly about Andy Carroll and how he would love to sign him. No problems there then? Used to think this conspiracy theory was nonsense but as time goes on I am beginning to believe in it. Everything Liverpool do it seems people/press/FA want to kick them in the nuts over it.
Luckily ( I think) it's the Premier League that conduct the investigate and not the FA - This could be a good thing or I may be wrong, only time will tell. I would expect now though that Utd, City and Chelsea all have complaints logged against them if this is to be the norm. Weren't Utd touted with having spoken to sevreal players including Schneider, Modric etc? It's all one big happy family in football isn't it!
This story is dominating the back pages today, yet when Ferguson or 'Arry talk about other players the press take it as Gospel information.
We should make a complaint about Fergie. £10m for Adam's corners...? That false ****ing advertising!!!
Dempsey himself is the only one that can put this to bed. Either we did or didn't illegally approached him, Or else hes as thick as pigshit for believing the NESN website story.
Saw an interview on SSN this morning from after the game, reporter asked him about the Sahin deal and what it means for him. He said he was very happy hear and wants to be part of BR's plans, and he has 3 years left on his contract he wants to see out.
He will probably blackmail LFC into buying him otherwise he will come out with the dirty washing. Not necessarily a bad thing.
If we are given a financial charge or forced to pay compensation, can we just give them Charlie Adam...?
I forgot about that. What about Alan Pardew telling Brendan Rodgers how much to sell Andy Carroll for through the media. Is that not ''tapping up''? Why isn't there action being taken against him? Most probably because Liverpool never made a complaint. As for Dempsey, I've heard rumours that Liverpool officials have asked to meet with their fulham counterparts to negotiate a deal. It could happen as early as tomorrow.
Some of the rags are using the term 'tapping up', but like i said if there was no illegality in our approach Dempsey should either confirm it or we should turn the tables on Fulham for making false accusations.
My point still stands. If there was an illegal approach then Dempsey or his agent (more likely) was part of that arrangement and therefore he would be getting his self into trouble by admitting it. Therefore, the only thing he is going to say is that an approach didn't happen. The situation makes his word pointless
Is it actually tapping up if we don't buy the lad? The pitch forks are out early for us this season, que the 'always the victims, it's never your fault' comments. **** 'em all I say.
