If true, why buy Prozzy, I think we could have got Campbell for less.

With it being such a short article, I suspect they're just jumping on a rumour. But should this be true, I'd definitely take him back. Even after what he did to us, we are in a goal drought and he has already proved he can score goals at this level. But if he signs permanently, this may mean the end for either Simpson or McLean?

I have a feeling it might actually be Simpson looking to be offloaded because McLean can also be cover for the wings and can be seen as a flexible bench player.

It'd be a pretty huge statement of intent if we got both.

Not that I can see it, personally, although Simpson, Fryatt, Proschwitz and Campbell would be a pretty lethal strikeforce.

Campbell has pretty much been injured 90% of the time. Would be a big gamble on his fitness.

his fitness is a gamble but I would take him back in a flash... every time he has not been injured he has shown talent and goals... a loan deal would be brilliant. I am not sure how he'd feel about coming back here but considering we have Bruce at the helm now who knows. we'd have a few too many strikers for my liking but I would absolutely take him, sell mclean.

    Different types of players.

I'd love to see him back, he was in the England squad 6 months ago remember? That said, we already have a sharp, classy striker in Simpson who isn't getting played. I'm not saying he's as good, but if despite his promising form we aren't giving Simpson a game you have to think we don't have room for that kind of player.

Campbell bulked up I recall from seeing him that game when Altidore head butted someone against Sunderland in the Prem, I was in south stand and also remember seeing him miss a chance, the crowd booed him and his face was one of f**k you Hull scum, so he'll not be back

Does anyone remember when he scored for Sunderland and he got his foot stuck in the billboards was p**s funny.

Ive lost count of the amount of times Ive posted that the Mail has without doubt the best source of info from the current regime. Under Nick and Adam the Mirror had it and now The Mail has. They were first to report Prosser, Aluko and Faye this summer.

Bullard is in better condition fitness wise than Campbell. Christ, Ash and Deano would be in better shape. If he did come to us it would be half a season before he were match fit then he would break in the first game. Plus, even with ****e fitness, and a less than auspicious recent playing history, he'd cost way too much.

I can't see this one happening, would be good, but if EPL teams are also in for him, as I am sure we could not meet his wage demands.

Already a thread on Campbell btw, but on topic, yes, yes, yes. No matter what he has done since he left us towards the club he is a proben goalscorer at this level, and would bang them in. Aluko, Stewart and Koren all working together would run this divisions, he may have fitness issues but get him playing and i think he will be fine again, last year he just didn't get enough game time and was rushed back very similar to Stewart.

Phil Buckingham saying on Twitter that he's spoke to Bruce this morning and he's played down a move for Campbell.

Yes, to sign an English international in the Championship would raise eyebrows to the rest of the teams too.
