What a truly ridiculous saga this is. After all the talk of us signing him, we could be facing him and his new team in a weeks time.

 

Thats our negotiating team for you. We need Samuel L. Jackson and Kevin Spacey.

 

Signing Sahin would give a midfield quartet of Gerrard, Lucas, Allen and Sahin and, IMO, that would rival the 'greatest midfield in the world' of Gerrard, Alonso, Mascherano and Sissoko. Plus we'd also have Henderson, Shelvey, Spearing and Adam as back-up

Edit: please remember that the second quartet was about six or seven years ago now so they were not 'established' at the time either

Just watching Alonso in the Madrid v Barca game. I can't think of a player that can match him for passing, be it short or long, he finds his man with ridiculous accuracy. Could easily be like Pirlo and play till he's mid-late 30s just receiving and distributing the ball.

 

Only if he doesn't join. If he joins you won't give a **** about the last month, but if he doesn't it will feel like he has been playing the club a like a slag

 

With both feet too, half the time he does not even look up, he just knows the player is there!

I've limited knowledge of the player outside of searching since all this.

I will share the concern that for both our clubs this has distinctly felt like "homes under the hammer"

I'm sure if he does well; the club that gets him wont mind his "loyalty" as its only a loan deal after all!
