I didn't realise he'd got injured, he was playing really well and I remember thinking that he'd be a cracking player in years to come. Shame about that, hope he stays. Although if he gets back on his feet and starts playing well I wouldn't mind it if we had him, swap him for Adam? You know you want too, I mean his crosses are worth £10m alone apparently according to SAF <Whistle>

Think I'll pass on that , but cheers, ha.

Yeah he had 2 serious cruciate's, one after the other, could easily have finished him.

Scored 2 in first 2 back, then died on his arse, maybe just fitness, we hope so, we'd all love him to come good.

If we had another striker, let alone Cavanni or Hulk, I would let Sturridge go in a heartbeat. Let some other poor sods deal with the lazy, moody truculent bugger.
Serious attitude problem, considerably bigger than his output.

As has been said, Sturridge would only be allowed to go if we landed a world class striker!

    Thought you'd say that, it's a shame. I'd love to get rid of him, he's **** <yikes>

Far too harsh imo CP! The papers have created a storm in a tea cup with regard to Sturridge, when AVB shifted him out right he made a comment saying his best position was up top on his own, the red tops had a field day <ok>.

The fact Vaughan, who we signed, was player of the year over him at Blackpool is enough!

Vaughan is tidy enough, but ****ing hell, player of the year? No surprise they went down!

<laugh> I'm hoping that if we do sign Dempsey, Adam will be part of the deal <ok>

    Fingers crossed anyway!

You lot do know that football agents habitually offer their clients to other clubs even when they are happy at their current club don't you? The journalist report when this happens, often the player and his current club have no idea it has happened till they read it too. Some players may have given their agent the brief to continually look for a better deal, but we'll never know which ones they are or where the agent is working off their own back.
