Did he end up back at Milan?

Shame we couldn't have signed him permanently. Do we know the truth behind that? Did he turn us down? Were his wage demands excessive? Did we just not take up the option?

Ended up at Dynamo Kiev on loan. He was lined up to go to Benfica but they opted for someone else and were offering him more than we were anyway. He'll be on even madder money there than here and presumably they're in the Champions League too. Was always going to be too good to not attract bigger clubs unfortunately.

He ended up at Kiev cause we didn't want him. We had the option to buy but didn't take it up.

 

I think it was more the case that we wouldn't pay the wages that others would.

 

If that's true I would be seriously peed off.

 

It's not. We wanted him at the agreed fee but whoever represents him was wise enough to know that a guy like that could earn far more elsewhere.

 

The player still has to agree to it though, he might have said hes sign but for another 20k a week. Im sure its not as simple as we think he wasnt good enough.

 

Liked watching him play. All heart and effort.
