Over on the Toon board we love a good poll (no that's not a misplelling or typo, but yes I will applaud the best penis based dig) but I don't see too many over your side and to be honest I can't be bothered to do one so you will just have to type the number yourselves...

Basically looks like the Fletcher deal is going through and he'll be in red and white by the weekend. As you have all mentioned, £12m is a high fee, but this doesn't necessarily mean you're overpaying: Coloccini cost us £9m but I would still say that was money well spent...So, in his first season, how many goals will be enough for you to stand back and say "Fair play MON, that was money well spent!"?

I'd personally say, judging by your other striking options you'll NEED him to get 10+ to have a good season and I think anything between 10-15 would more than justify his cost...So, what dya reckon?

    10 + and i'll be happy.

I expect him to get 12 minimum, and wouldn't be surprised to see him nudging 18.

That'd be a smashing return in his first year.

Anything less than 10 and I will be calling for MON's head.
MOB sounds so much better than BOB don't you think?

Anything less than 8 and I will be joining the crowds chanting sack the board!

Anything less than 6 and I will be streaking at the SOL.

If however he only scores 1 in a 1-0 victory over the Scum I will love him eternally.!

He's a big game goalscorer, Emirates, WHL, Old Trafford all last season.

Seems a nice bet for a derby goal, and we all love a derby goalscorer!

    Patrice Carteron, anyone!

    We have an early leader...

A Mackem Shola Ameobi then? I must admit, he'd be the type of player to do it, we're ****e at dealing with height from inswinging crosses and with Larrson and McClean (and Johnson if you get him) I wouldn't be surprised to see him score in the derbies. Having said that, I would put money on Ben Arfa bagging one in at least one of the games!

If he improves us as an attacking force, and we score more goals and win more matches as a team, then it will be money well spent regardless of his goal tally.

15 goals and he will be worth every penny . didnt know much about fletcher . Other than he played for wolves . I have put my faith in some of the posters on here who sing his praises . the money that we are supposed to be paying for him 12-14m is far to much if he doesnt bang 15 in .
I got a feeling he will be on 10 by the end of jan . with a name like fletcher the only place for him is in the top flight .:emoticon-0103-cool:
apoliges x apolugis x apoligezs x f*** it sorry if that has been said before.

Anyone got any stats on Fletch's assists??

Downside being, often a striker of his nature will win a nod down, then someone will feed someone in.

Quinny played a massive part in so many goals that he wasn't given an assist for, when without Quinn's input, no chance existed for an assist!

Ba's 2nd half of last season...Saha isn't exactly known for his workmanlike performances but they could make a decent partnership if he feeds off Fletcher?

And if you're on twitter, there's usually a good 20 lads who do the stats for the clubs, we've got one called nufc_stats (imaginative) and if you ask him questions, he'll get back to you within an hour or so - might be worth looking for a Mackem version?

Camels retain water better than almost every other land mammal, poor choice mate. They barely sweat, their spit could knock out a small child and their piss is so concentrated it can corrode steel.

    Now foxes are sweaty ****ers.

This camel was flaming, not as in the slang word, as in 'on fire'.

It's a hot camel, believe me mate!

It was spontaneous combustion, not arson.

Sorry for not making this clear.

Actually, I'm well aware of the dangers camel face with this natural phenomenon.

Maybe the world needs more information, time for a Disco ad campaign me thinks...
