Summer Transfers 2012

  1. To me, it suggests they have nothing else to write about so just keep recycling the same drivel <ok>

  3. Wouldn't Dempsey be classed as a forward? I stopped short of calling him a striker!

its fairly clear rodgers has not got anyone lined up now to replace carroll and the fee is pathetic so he's keeping him. i don't see this stuff today as maneuavering for a better price really. We're stuck with carroll so we need to make it work as best we can.

sahin stuff is unknown but is seems to me arsenal are strong favorites and the toher sides really are not at the races.... if we get him it'll be a suprise.

If we get Dempsey I'm 99% sure he'll play right wing until we sign someone faster.

Press linking us to Sturridge again. Any chance you think? Surely they wouldn't let him go... not for any price we would offer at least.

  8. A Manchester paper was running a story yesterday about this. It said if Man City sign Sinclair from Swansea then Sturridge could be available for just £8m and we were one of the interested parties.

However, the media know **** all about our transfer dealings and have been guessing all summer. Not one dot of ink was published regarding Assaidi either <ok>

Edit: hang on, I'm getting mixed up between Sturridge and Johnson here, my bad <doh>

Yeah... I think Chelsea would get into a bit of a tiff if city sold us one of their [Chelsea's] players...

    ... they're a little sensitive about that kind of thing. ; )

  10. Ironically, Man City would be over the moon if Chelsea sold one of there players for them. Got to turn out better than the Adebayor to Spurs agreement <doh>

Sturridge was really good yesterday but that is typical of him right, blow hot and cold, similar to Walcott?

Btw, anyone think Afellay might still be in the cards, it has gone quiet..... too quiet.

Although we still need the poacher, the goalscorer, someone to just kick the ball into their own face to score!

Assaidi was different, he is an unknown, at a low-key club and out of the limelight with little competition (bar Ajax) for his signature. It's very different to the very open dealings regarding Sahin/Dempsey Sturridge etc

  13. I listened to the game on TalkSport and they were criticising Sturridge for being too greedy. They were saying he was trying to do things on his own but the better option was passing to Torres who was nailed on to score had he been passed to?

That's why I wouldn't want him, we already have Suarez to doesn't make the decision most of the time, we don't need another <ok>

  15. Adam Johnson is the same but I'm sure you said you would like him to join? I could be wrong there though (too many to remember who said what)

Ahh buenos dias amigo, did that blasted sun wake you again? <laugh>

Agreed on Sturridge, I know he is 34 but Klose anyone? Need someone to help prod the damn thing in the goal.
