    3 year old news. You've been on the slide since you started selling your best players to bigger clubs.

    But let me start an honest discussion. I feel you manc scum won't see this, and argue against it, but I think the FACTS stand up for themselves......

    Is the drunken tramp leaving at the end of the season?

    £24M on a marquee signing, while the defence and midfield crumble to old age dust, strikes me as "Hail Mary" play, one last dangerous gamble to go out on a high.

    It seems unlikely that having to replace Scholes, Giggs and Ferdinand in one transfer window is going to result in success for a while, and would Fergie want to stick around for that, Instead, he does a Busby, and his retirement results in several barren years, punctuating how good he was, rather than the team/club.

    I think its pretty obvious to all other football fans that Man Utd are setting themselves up for a MASSIVE fall once Fergie leaves. Man Utd fans will lead you to believe that they will be getting this or that manager but the reality is that nobody will want to follow Fergie. Whoever gets the job is doomed to fail.
