I remember about 10 years ago, if you saw an article about QPR it was worthy of going in a guilt edge frame, that was how rare a story about our beloved club had become. It took rumours of gun toting men in the boardroom to get us any column inches. Today there are more articles about us than prince Harry having an orgy in Vegas. My how things have changed. Unfortunately half of them are still pretty negative, but I guess that's the nature of the press. But it's still nice to see we're so popular now.
Yes, it is strange how times have changed. Out here we would occaisionally get a mention in Marca a Spanish sports paper like when we signed Parejo or were going to be deducted 15 points. On saturday i could not get a link so went to the bar at halftime expecting us to have recovered to 3-1 by the time i got back. the shock wore off but i certainly wasn't going to watch MOTD. Sitting outside the bar at about 1 o/c i looked up to see the Swans last goal on their version of MOTD. the next day there was almost a full page about us and the Swans (Probably a bit to do with their Spanish players) I also wonder how many watched and read about us in the east. Times have changed. I just wished the results would.
There's probably a sizable number of hacks taking delight in our situation and we're an ideal vehicle for lazy journos to pin a story on. Sadly, it goes with the territory and as Warnock regularly said 'Why let the truth get in the way of a good story?'...
