Feet are really sore but thanks to the smog at least they're webbed now. :)

I'm a very poor swimmer, never really learned and 10m is about my limit. I suppose it's something I can work on for next year but the Tyne might be a bit much, I'm no David Walliams! <laugh>

Give it a try and if you should end up floating out to sea on your back, never to be seen again I'll put £100.00 in the pot towards the burial costs and £100 the following year in your memory.

We'll have a whip round and get you some water wings and a snorkel, you'll be good to go!

Hope you're not suffering too much with your feet.<ok>

He probably wouldn't need water wings, there'd be plenty of floaters for him to hang onto.

£100?! That will never build a bronze statue in my likeness!

On that basis, I refuse to sacrifice myself to the great Neptune.

According to my map app, this 3.5 mile stretch of road takes 28 minutes to walk.

So is that short cut you've found Mod Face, or are you going to roll down a very steep hill?

In Darlington now, feels so good knowing there's only two more days of walking to go.
Toon match not being on a proper channel is a bit of a let down as it means I'm going to miss it, though I'll certainly be following the live commentary updates. <ok>

A poor substitute but a match all the same, Hearts v Liverpool is what'll be on my tellybox this evening. At first I was tempted to root for the underdogs but I think I'd actually prefer Hearts to win...

What time do you reckon you'll be in Bishop Auckland (or around there) tomorrow? I've got a few things to do or I'd have walked it with you, but I'll try and track you down and throw a few bob into the buckets if I can.
