Ryan Shawcross because Dawson hits a snag http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/fo...Michael-Dawson-QPR-stalls-personal-terms.html
my head hurts!!!! will we actually know which team is ours on saturday? the one playing with 7 defenders, 2 wingers and 1 lonely striker presumably?!
If the stuff about a new keeper is true, it really does put a few question marks close to Hughes. TF can hardly be impressed with a decision the bring Green in, at no cost but definitely a big salary, and then being asked to support getting another keeper after just one competitive game. Personally mixed feelings on this. I am far from convinced by Green, but this would smack of panic and I don't like that either. Hmmmm. In other news, earlier this evening I saw a fifty plus year old man walking down my street in full Australian outback kit - desert boots, white knee socks, short white shorts, khaki top and wide brim hat. He was walking a ferret on a lead. Made my day.
This sounds a lot more promising if true, most definitely about another keeper. If MH basically admits to a mistake and gets in a good Keeper, then he wins a lot of respect from me anyway. Prefer Shawcross to Dawson as well.
I said the very thing on another thread today Stan. I wasn't bovered up until I heard about a Goalkeeper. If that's true then Hughes is panicking.
I always feel Shawcross is going to get booked or sent off when I see him Sounds like a target for us
Alex ferguson made a very valid point when signing van persie. He said the way he plays and the skills he has was a big problem when man utd played arsenal, so he solved that problem by buying him! We obviously have a problem with every player who has kicked a football in the last 5 years, so we're going to buy them all, problem solved......
Has occurred to me that we should buy about 400 of the best under 21s ( or just all of them) so we could have the biggest squad in the universe.

Slightly off topic as all these new threads are wearing me out 'Is it right for gynaecologists 2 look up old girlfriends'
What is there to suggest anyone is panicking? MH, and TF I believe, said mis summer that he thought we had needed more experience in the squad, and we had brought in Squad players to fix this. They also said a few more signings would follow - hopefully these are going to be the big signings of players who will be starting and winning games for us. Hoillett was just the first. Green was obviously a giant c*ck up, but great if this is recognised and sorted by 1/9. If the Mail article is right (and they have links with MH writing there) we are not accepting over the top wage and bonus demands - this does not smack of panic.

I always felt we needed 2 new keepers of equal standing if we were selling kenny, so it is of no surprise to me if we bring someone else in to challenge for the no1 jersey. Every player in every position needs to know there is someone ready and willing to take their place if they're not performing as well as they should be, it can only improve them. What I am surprised about is why Brian murphy is still at the club, and why he was ever brought in?!
