Thank you - No - it was Dyer, Riise and Ba that did the business. Still got a couple of players to chip in yet from tomorrows game. My Man City contingent were very disappointing.
I can't C58, no, that's something only mods or higher can do. Not sure who we ask to do that now that Syd is gone...
I've sent you details, Craving. Just register a team at the Premier League fantasy football website and join the league.
Awesome, Craving. Good luck. For anyone who hasn't signed up yet, now is the time to do so. I'd ideally like another two teams, as it would make my cups run slightly better. If anyone else wants to sign their kids up too, that could work! (Froggy, I know you suggested that your son had a team)
Imagine playing Rooney ahead of Kaka, SuperBri. Bit of catching though - has anyone bettered that total ?
I know, I'm devastated, just thought Jol might have him on the bench. And I messed up I thought I'd put him as first sub. But it seems to have worked out OK
Let me add some nonsense.... I can't answer how we can all finish mid-table - which is probably more of a philosphical, rather than statistical, question. However, I can say that our league is well above the average already - 12 out of 17 of us (I'm in the 5 unfortunately) are above the average 36 so far. Although a slight skewness towards the club who currently top the PL might be a contributing factor. Now if we could just stuff ManU on Saturday......
Well - not my strongest start!! - I am one of the unfortunate five!! - not helped by Aguaro's injury and other strange things. I made wholesale changes to my team, then realized it was going to cost me a load of points - haven't come across that before in other fantasy games - but a good idea though. let's hope for a better week next week.
You get two 'wildcards' a season, Fred. One has to be used in January, but the other can be used anytime. When you play your wildcard, you can make as many transfers as you like that week with no points penalties. It's a bit extreme to use it in week 2, but...
I've just checked and last night means I have dipped to marginally below the statistical average (by one point). I think my strict 'no-Chelsea' policy has worked against me this week. In my other league there are people racking up 40+ points from Eden Hazard alone! It's a marathan not a sprint, a marathon not a sprint, a marathon...
Thanks Captain - I have played the Yahoo version of fantasy for years and I am used to their ways - which include as many transfers as you want!! Use of the wild card looks like a key part of the game and needs to be timed well - so not much chance there then!
I am playing the yahoo game as well at work and, oddly, with a completely different team - 11 completely different players, I scored exactly the same number of points. The transfer thing is odd to me as well because Yahoo is unlimited free transfers, which i think is a better idea. For instance two of my players were injured this week and I had to change them yet it has cost me 4 points. If I just wanted to change them fair enough, but it's a bit rough when they get crocked and I get penalised for it.

50 Shades of Gravy are delighted to announce a new sponsorship deal with dog food manufacturers Spillers. As a result their shirts will be emblazoned with the word 'Winalot'. Spillers Managing Director Del Mation commented, 'We're delighted to, as it were, climb aboard the Gravy train, particularly as our product is also full of meaty, steamy goodness. 50 Shades of Gravy are the only team in Fantasy League guarenteed to give you a glossy coat and a shiny wet nose.' When asked why he was associating his product with a team languishing in mid-table, Mr Mation replied, 'Mid-table? That manager told me they were going to win the title! Someone will answer for this.'
