Col, I know how much you want to stuff them as do we all. But, there is a chance we may 'only' draw this game given the previous recent history of this fixture - four losses, one draw and Sept 2008 since we beat them and March 1994 since we beat them there in our previous premier league incarnation. Indeed there is a chance we may even lose. If we either lose or draw, please can we do a bit of self hyponosis / CBT / counselling or have a pint or two before we start another round of doom and gloom. DT is absolutely right. QPR is in an amazing place and a wonderful work in progress. I am expecting to win (I always start off expecting that otherwise what's the point of being a supporter?) but I'm not going to reach for the anti depressants if we draw or even lose. Amit and Tony really are in for the long haul. So should we be. COYRss!!
RTID - My expectation levels for this game are v low. We've signed yet another batch of players who need integrating. Coming away from Carrot Road with a point would be a miracle
Christ on a bike we won't beat Norwich ... the gods are against us on this fixture ... it's here to test us. Like last year I expect us to give them 6 points
My demands are as follows:- I expect to make the train on time. Have a spot of lunch. Maybe a pint. Watch the game. Make a sensibly early train home. Have pizza for tea. Go out and drink either my sorrows away or to a great victory (or even a scrappy one). Not unrealistic I feel.
Totally agree. A realistic approach to every game and the season ahead is needed. Sometimes I think I need a flak jacket and helmet when I come on this board after a bad performance
My expectation is the same as ever at Norwich. We wont win because we never do and as a consequence I've never gone home (and this will be my 9th visit) too miserable. As long as I never have to go there on a freezing new years day and watch Leon Clarke clearly not bothered I don't care. Oh and that extra fast train 20 minutes after the game is a real bonus. Role on Saturday.
Swansea broke their hoodoo at HQ last week so why can't we break ours at Carrow Road? We daren't lose so let's have a win...
Fulham didn't exactly help us last week. Left Norwich as burning for a result as we are. Agree the signs suggest a draw. Think we'd all agree (Canaries and us), hate to be the losers in this game...
Mate you're allowed to say / do / think what you like as long as it's legal!! I'm just suggesting we don't start talking about Europe (again) if we win or slit our throats if we lose. The QPRollercoaster ride continues - fasten seat belts and enjoy.
I agree strongly. I've always thought that the longer a losing streak against one team continues, the more likely it is to end with the very next game. Not sure if that's statistically sound or not. Lots of confounding factors I would assume.
