I have put money on this. Rodgers is my man. I like him and think he's a good manager. But a quick look at their fixtures means its not unthinkable he could be 0 wins and 5 losses. They really could have done with the points off WBA. I don't have the hatred for them some do so this is not bourne out of malice, I just can foresee a lot of problems. Citeh, Arsenal and Man U may be home fixtures but they are bastard fixtures. Man U won't want to be losing ground on Citeh who are just a nightmare. Arsenal are inconsistent but they are capable of beating any side in the league home or away. The other games is the Mackems away and that is a tough place to go.

Good points and assessment, but that quickly ditch him? A lot of the talk is time needed, 3 yr project etc etc. Tend to think LFC will stick with him unless its going disasterously badly .. so if LFC near the bottom at Xmas, playing badly/ low morale/ disjointed etc etc then possibly then.

(edit: what odds did you get btw?)

In any case, which pundit was the one who predicted us to end 9th? and he even had Villa above us??? No way in hell is that going to happen... I hope the bin dippers keep Brendan Rogers and that they continue being poor..

Not after 5 games but its gonna heap a whole load of pressure on if things go badly. Your next 5 are then cup finals, morale is low and the players are playing with fear. Rodgers will have to deal with a whole new pressure of a big club failing and the merciless press that comes with it. They could in my opinion be 10 games in with maybe only a couple of wins and a couple of draws to show if that. They have 8-10 points on the board with nearly a third of the season gone, I could see the Americans wrongly pushing the panic button. They have to accept this year is transition again.

Spurs likewise but to a lesser extent because they have consistency in playing staff.

Edit: I took 10/1 straight after the WBA game

Yep, Fair do's. Think LFC are publically trying to set it up as a transition year, (ie no Hodgson repeat), and keep expectations ...as reasonable as they can re Liverpool..(ie only coming 2nd in the league this year instead of winning it).
But cant see beyond Hughes going first myself.

Hope you win your bet though, another year of disarray at liverpool, would warm the cockles of my heart and maintian their status as the gift that just keeps on giving.

The whole of the BBC needs to be restructured, get rid of the money grabbing big shots and get rid of the license fee too.

I have real worries for Chris Hughton at Norwich...

they've been spoilt in recent seasons and it couldn't have started any worse for him.

Can't agree with losing the license fee... adverts spoil every aspect of 'entertainment'.

If I had to tolerate adverts on the BBC, I think I would give up television altogether.

GITF has sent the "Magic Computer" back to the dark side from whence it came, and promises never to dabble with the forces of evil iPad again.

I have already done so. I get my films from Cinema Paridiso (they stock stuff other from Hollyweird) and if I have to watch something then I watch it after the event on iPlayer. Really, there's no need for a TV and the licence fee.

Radical, but good for you, never considered being without the old goggle box, but just goes to show that it can be done.
