Assuming Stead is still the main man,who grabs the 2nd berth against Cardiff Saturday....? Give us your choice....
If we go for the arial option, I would say Stead and Taylor again. If we need speed Baldock and Davis Either way, we have Pitman on the bench in the 'Keith Fear role', to unpick a stubborn defence. But I reckon he will go for Stead and Baldock An embarrassment of riches ! Sorry, Maynard who ?
Stead likes to score againt Cardiff so he for me will partner Taylor up front, same team for me unless we bring someone else in
Keep a winning formula I say - Stead and Taylor for me. Like my mate says (Cardiff fan) - 'We always make Jon Stead look like Messi when he plays us' - long may that continue!!
AS GJ used to say - we have lots of clubs in our bag now. Taylor scored so would be harsh to drop him, but I would go for Stead and Baldock
Taylor and Baldock Stead and Davies Davis and Taylor Stead and Taylor Stead and Baldock Baldock and Davies Oh what about Pitman. My head is spinning
Stead and Taylor. For the first time in a couple of seasons we've won the home opener - keep the same team. Would love to see Davies & Baldock get on as subs, hopefully when we're coasting by the Red Birds!
Normally say keep a winning side and would be happy to keep the same team, so if pushed I'd go for Taylor and Stead. However, after listening to McInnes on Player I expect he'll make changes. McInnes shocked most City fans last night selecting Taylor and that was a fantastic success - over to you Del.
I had forgotten Cardiff is Steads favourite team to play against, I was gonna say Baldock and taylor. But now the fact Steady loves playing them I'll say stead and Taylor. What an amazing bench to have then... I hope we can keep them all happy!
Will it? Will you be wearing your blue away kit? as we already play in red and have done for 100 plus years apparently.. What about you?
Keep that attitude look where it got you last year.... I know you like a bit of wool so watch out for our number 11
McDel played a very clever man management job last night by saying to Taylor and Woolford 'look who I have brought in. Go out and prove to me why I should pick you over them'. More importantly, both felt confident in the boss that they were prepared to give it every thing knowing he was good to his word rather than just wasting their time. At the same time he probably said to the new boys 'if you want to get into this team you will have to prove you are better than the current team'. Well he got his response from the current squad and will probably see in training a new enthusiam. Healthy competition can only make the squad stronger. Oh Del what will you do? Smile probably
I haven't voted because what McDel says is fine by me however to answer the question, how can you drop a bloke who had an absolute stormer and gave the sort of centre forward display that we haven't seen here for MANY a year. Steady is good but Ryan T was awesome last night, a display that the mighty Cheese would have been pleased with - he won pretty much everything in the air, held the ball up and RETAINED POSSESSION and found his fellow team mates when laying off the ball. Really tough choice but for me maybe Taylor and Baldock to start, pace and power being a combo we haven't had for years and I do believe that Mr Baldock does like to take a shoot pretty much on on sight, something else we have been well short of. I also suspect that Jody Morris may start on Saturday as we will need that extra guile to unpick the Cardiff defence. Can't wait, really can't wait....
