Wee Davie Craig is at York races today so its not far up the A19 if something emerges. Lol We are so close to the Fletcher & Johnson deals its painful at the moment. Those 2 and a left back (Olsson or this Croatian lad) and I'd be happy. If we do manage to squeeze another canny striker in as well, then it will have been a very productive summer for MoN. Its just the waiting that kills you.

Cest, The AJ thing is killing me, I held back from letting myself believe it, I've seen the competition drop like flies, we know Everton had refusal on loan, City have decided to sell, Everton are out, Scousers seemingly uninterested, Spurs? Surely he'd be back up to Bale & Lennon, so he may as well stay at City (Spurs will not smash their wage structure, hence the time it took to sign Adebayor, who was brilliant for them last season). Who does that leave? US. The Toon could come in, but as a compliment to them, they simply don't need him. This is more than signing a player if we get him, it's a leap in class, a huge leap, it's an instant buzz & idol, and most importantly it's a massive statement to us loyal & long suffering fans that we are not gonna **** it up this time and slide backwards again. JUST ****ING SIGN AJ!!!
I have a feeling this will go down to the last day of the transfer window I fear. If he wasn't holding out for better he'd be here now surely?
You never know mate, we don't know when the bid was lodged, how many offers he's had, he'll want some kind of settlement from City (always a delay that one, but signed a 5-year deal a year back at 70k a week), we have to agree fee with City (seemingly done). I don't think there'll be any new bidders, as nobody else really needs to move, QPR may try, as they bid for everyone, but I wouldn't fear that. I'd love to know if he's got as far as speaking to MON, I trust MON to sell the club and impress players, everyone that plays under him comes up with the same words, 'Genius', 'Inspirational' & 'Unique'.

I think signing AJ would at least be as big for the club (if not bigger) than the signings of Bent and Gyan were at the time
