It seemed like a decent idea when I posted it, but if it's an irritatating thread just delete it - no problem.
"Blackburn are better man for man" eh? let's see.. 01 Robinson vs Amos - Robinson ex-England, bags of experience, Amos looks solid to me so far = even 02 Orr vs Rosenior - both experienced good fullbacks = even 05 Givet vs Chester - PL experience vs potential PL star = us 16 Dann vs Bruce/Faye Scott Dann is class = them 06 Lowe vs Dudgeon - I'm confident we've got a gem here = us 10 Formica vs Koren - no contest = us 12 Pedersen vs Aluko - I'm having that! = us 13 Murphy vs McKenna - the ex-Reds surely = them 18 Etuhu vs Stewart - again Rovers' is more experienced = them 21 Nuno Gomes vs Simpson - ageing Portuguese star or striker with a pont to prove = them perhaps 39 Kazim-Richards vs Proschwitz/Mclean - Colin is a nifty player on his day = them subs bench = them home advantage = them the boss = us RESULT: Blackburn Rovers 7 Hull City 5
I'd say some of those decisions are seen through rose tinted glasses Robinson is only ex-England through choice IMO, i'd rather him than Amos Lowe & Dudgeon is even at best Pederson is getting on but i'd suggest he's even with Aluko They've also got Rochina back in the team tonight It's going to be tough, though i am genuinely confident we'll get something out of it. The managerial superiority has to count for more than 1 point and if you believe what you read about fans protesting/boycotting tonight you could argue they have no home advantage and if anything it might demoralise them (or spur them on...) Individually they're superior, that's a given but tactically we should be better which counts for a lot.

well given that they're apparently the team of pensioners (according to Shebby Singh) we might be in trouble If Kazim-Richards comes out tonight wearing glasses i'd be worried!
I won't be moaning after tonight, even if we lose 3-0. Were playing away against one of the fav's,so what would be to moan about ? The crazy thing is knowing that some will moan even if we win 1-0. The threads fine by the way, stop moaning !
I feel a lot more confident coming into this than I felt going into either west ham games last season! IMO Blackburn are nothing to fear, I think we got better players all over the pitch and their managers a blithering idiot.
Nothing to really complain about tonight - though I'm certainly making the switch to Five Live. Robbie Savage and Brownie were co-commentators - brilliant. One potential problem is Brucie's subs (if it continues). He doesn't half take his time. Simpson vs Brighton worked but generally you need more than 9 minutes to make an impact and he very late again today.
whinge whinge whinge whinge whinge whinge whinge whinge whinge whinge whinge whinge whinge whinge whinge knew this thread was a good idea
Until they brought on Gomez and got a scrappy goal I thought we were on for all three points. The 5-3-2 formation sounded pretty solid. But considering this is the moaning thread my only complaint was Simpson being brought on too late to affect anything. If that lad scored six he wouldn't be in the starting line-up.
