I know Fellaini was battling and battering your defence.. but that headed goal was from inside 6 yard box.. Very surprising no one blamed De Gea.. Maybe you guys are easy on poor kid.. De Gea like Cech stood there and saw Fellaini bruising poor Carrick for Everton's goal. Inspite of all his reflex saves, De Gea still doesn't have that command. With only Vidic out there defending, you will be in for a tough time.. Small margins make huge differences.. Edwin single handedly won you guys many league titles - FACT.. More than a Cabaye or a Tiote - you need a Krul..
This thread is full of nonsense. De Gea was not to blame for the goal but Carrick who was marking Fellaini. Carrick should never have been marking him in the first place and someone like Vidic should have been but hopefully we learn our lessons from that. De Gea was one of our best players in that game and made numerous good saves and without him, it would have been more than 1 nil.
De Gea is one of the best keepers in the league and I am really enjoying every pundit being made to eat their words. Even before the game they were slating him and that Sky Sports commentator whoever he was was having a right go the daft ****.
Wouldn't go that far. Hart, Vorm, Cech, Krul, Reina - all better. He'll become one of the best but he isn't now.
I thought De Gea had a decent game overall. There were a few very good saves including Baines' free kick.
So what your saying is...... he is one of the best behind a few other good keepers but hes still got alot to learn. I agree, and I agree with the keepers posted bar maybe Cech and Reina. More experienced but Cech has never been back to his best and Reina is in major decline imo. Probably put cech ahead of him tbh
Kind of, but I think the ones i mentioned are far superior so saying 'one of the best' is somewhat misleading. I agree Reina seems to be slipping but I'd take him over De Gea at the mo tbh!
Cech at times can be shocking but tbh hes got much better recently. Seems like he may finally be getting over what happened. I think Reina is awful though. De Gea is rated higher in spain
Cech is much better, ask any fan of football. The media make a massive deal out of his injury and wheneer he makes a mistake (as all keepers do) then they always say 'he's never been back to his best' or some old bullshit cliche like that. He was one of the main reasons we won what we did last season and performed absolutely amazingly in both finals. I worded that Reina comment wrong, I would take De Gea over Reina but only in terms of potential.
Everything? Really? I watch every single game he plays. You'd be the same if you almost died going for a ball. ****wit The fact you are called Choc Ice tells me everything I need to know aswell
