    Any figures being mentioned??

I'll wager the initial fee is considerably less than £12million.

My guess would be 8-9m upfront with a couple of million add ons.

Well MoN has got his man, good! I am sure MoN knows what he is doing with Fletcher, but I reckon I am not the only one who harbours a few doubts? Nevertheless when he pulls on the R&W shirt and scores us some goals nobody will be happier than me.

About time lads, this one has been running on a while. Can't see the medical/personal terms part taking too long so should be in your squad for the weekend.

Anyone have an opinion on Frazier Campbell's future assuming you complete the expected transfers of Fletcher and Guidetti (loan) to go with Saha? I'd like to think the boy will still get some game time as he has got a fair bit of talent, or do you guys think he'll be moved on?

To be honest mate, i don't really care how much he costs, within reason like but we desperately need a striker. If we don't get one how much will that cost us? could and probably would cost the club a lot more in lost revenue if we don't sign anyone.

I'd be happy with anything less than 12 million.

No fee mentioned. As i write they are talking about 'boosting' whilst participating in the paralympics .

    Tough one Terry.

Before the 2 injuries he was really starting to look the part, looked good in patches when he first came back, but fell off the cliff, to be expected.

He's a great lad is Frazier, very popular with the fans, but I think he needs to show a lot before Christmas or he could be a casualty.

If we get Fletcher & Guidietti, he may well struggle for game time, and that would be no good for him.

Seems to love the club, so maybe a loan to get a run of games would be a good option, rather than an instant sale.

Inclined to agree, he WILL score goals, I'd happily say at least 12, and that'd be fine by me.

    He may well get more.

I think FCs problem is that he falls between several stools, he has speed but he is not a winger he is not very good at defending and often gives needless free kicks away near our pen box. He is not big enough to be the holding front man, at in the box he often shoots when he has time to pick his spot, and he often takes a second touch when he should shoot.

So he is a bit of a jack of all trades as a forward but he is master of none I am afraid!

Even if we were pushed for the full fee of 15 million i wouldn't lose any sleep. If he scores us in the region of 15 goals a season then he will be worth the fee, without those 15 goals we will struggle to finish in the top 10 again and that would cost us millions.

Lets just get him here and give the lad a chance to show what he can do, we NEED a striker and we need one now.

Not a signing thats excities me to be honest. It could turn out to be another waste of money just like Wickham

Very true, and if he gets close to 15 a season over 3-4 years, he's been a bargain.

I'm happy with him, albeit that I reckon his real value is closer to £8-10million.

Be nice to have someone on the end of Seb & Mc's crosses, and will free up Sess to lie a bit deeper and do some damage.

Davey are you another unwilling to give a 19 year old a chance! - The lad had major injury problems throughout his first season so he's a waste of money?

£8.1m is all he's cost so far as the remainder was all add on's and all we've had to pay is the initial fee. He looked decent in patches last season but his fitness has cost him (which is undoubtedly not his fault) - I have seen him play very very well in the past for Ipswich and know he is capable but people writing him off before his feet have hit the ground must affect the lads confidence

Whickham was always bought for the future and given time i reckon he will come good, don't write him off just yet.

Wait and see. Who do you think we could have bought then, that we could realistically attracted and is proven in the EPL?

You have knocked this potential signing constantly but I must have missed your alternative suggestions?

I have absolute faith that Whickham, in time , will be quality.

He'll be learning off Saha everyday in training, although a loan move to Wolves would benefit all parties for me.

Could turn out to be another Bent and i hope he does, we need goals. If the fees have been agreed i expect we'll see him in before the weekend? hope so cos all these rumours are doing my tits right in.

Well said. I also think he has all the attributes to succeed but he is still a kid after all. He needs a full season on loan to a decent club and manager.

I'd be happy to see Boro loan him. I don't like Mowbray the person but he's a decent manager with young lads.

£8m/£12m - the goals he scores will more than likely make up the difference when you get paid by the FA at the end of the season for where you finish in the league.
