Going to be a tough one I'd say 2 goals in it either 1-1 or 2-0 to Blackburn. I'd expect to see Amos McShambles Chester Faye Dudgeon Aluko McKenna Koren Stewart McLean Simpson Only changes I'd make to that would e I'd prefer rosey over the Irish Torres and Bruce to Faye. I'd leave Faye and Proshwitz on the bench as they both looked horrendous vs Brighton, proschwitz needs time to ease in slowly not chucked straight in at the deep end. Faye must be nackered with how much running he was having to do with mackail-smith strolling past him like a hare past a tortoise, and Bruce looked solid when he came on. Hope we can sneak a win and be one of just two teams with a 100% record tonight. Can't help but feel there's no better a time to go away to Ewood park but as we all know these situations can go either way.
I'd expect Amos Rosey Chester Bruce Dudge Koren McKenna Evans Aluko McLean Proschwitz I think it's more likely to see Faye rested than Rosey and I doubt he'd rest both, probably one now and the other against Charlton. Bruce has played well enough in pre-season and when he's come on to be trusted with a starting berth since i agree that Faye must be knackered. I might be wrong about 442 but i can see Stewart being the one to make way, Koren might not like being on the wing but i'd like to see ball winners in the middle away at a team like Blackburn. Bruce will want Prossy on as he provides an outlet in a game we might find ourselves under pressure. McLean has to start because of his workrate, he can hassle their players like no other and under Kean they're a team that always seem to make mistakes. It's just whether McLean or Prossy can take them!
a point would be a cracking result they have a strong starting 11 for this division whatever might or might not happen in the crowd, from what ive seen the last 2 times ive been to blackburn there home crowd is about as capable as been intimidating as ours is most weeks , its the players on the pitch that matter and they have some good ones... didnt see anything from us on saturday to warrant us expecting a comfortable 3 points like some others are saying, 1-1 is my prediction and id take that now as for the team, id love koren to stay in the centre but judging by his comments in the paper about making it more solid, i expect him to be pushed wide, with evans coming in for stewart..or possibly playing behind proschwitz in the hole...
you mean this? -------Evans--McKenna-------- ------------------------------- ------------Koren-------------- Mclean-------------------Aluko ----------Proschwitz---------- I thought of that but i don't think Bruce is keen on it, we tried it against Brighton didn't we? (with different personell) They outplayed us at our own ground, whereas Blackburn are a better team and we're away. So i'd guess it's unlikely, though none of us know quite what to expect from Brucey at the moment
yeah, or the 4-4-2 option with mclean and koren wide and aluko up front, im not sure what we did v brighton i thought i was watching 4-4-2 with mclean wide right but afterwards others where saying it was 4-2-3-1 ....not sure which id prefer, i like 2 up top but hate koren wide...
I agree about Koren being wide, but i think it's probably necessary in a game like tonight's. I didn't go to the Brighton game, i fact i won't be going to many this year as it's the first time i haven't got a season ticket (card, whatever) since i was 6 years old. I'd have thought if we played the 442 it'd be Aluko wide and McLean up front, I can imagine McLean to be instructed to hassle their defenders as much as possible to create mistakes, i don't know if Aluko would do this but might have the positional sense to capitalise if any passes go astray thanks to McLean. But what do i know!
Devitt a surprise if he's included, unless he's tagged along to watch. I'd have expected all the rest to be on the bench bar McLean who should be starting up top
Watched the game on TP thought Prochwitz was ok, was impressed with his touch and never seemed to waste a ball when he had it at his feet. When the ball was booted up field to him and he had to contest a header that was a different thing but how often do you see anyone contest a header and nicely place it to one of their team mates?
well I watched it too & Proschwitz's touches were ok but he lost possession the majority of the time.. he isn't up to the pace yet.. however he only had about one occasion to head a ball at goal and missed right from a corner
Wish I was there, I'll be listening to flashscores.co.uk whilst listening to classic fm. And eating McDonald's in the comfort of my armchair sitting in a man u shirt my mate left round here...
