Sky Sports are reporting that Bolton are interested in Spearing. It doesn't say loan or transfer etc
Looking at it like that, I know which one looks better on paper. The wages won't be a great deal different either but I suspect their three will be on more than ours. The average age of their players is higher than ours too which could mean they have a better immediate impact![]()
I think Adebayor's wages cost the same as our three put together.
Reports are that Spurs weren't prepared to pay more than £80k per week. Adebayor was on £175k per week at Man City with two years left to run. Man City have agreed to pay the difference for the remaining two years.
Makes a mockery of the £5m Spurs have paid, it will cost Man City £10m+ in wages!

It's mental, just shows how rapid their climb has been.
Allen and Borini are on 40k and Assaidi on 30-35k I believe.
i'd beleive it.... city are mugs.. i'd rather he rot than give a player to a "rival"
if assaidi is on 30k per week i'm not suprised. we seem to think villa wages are a good thing. one of these days we'll be scratching our head about finsihing 16th with our wonderful team and wondering why while arsenal continue to pay smaller fees and bigger wages.. sahin will join arsenal and they will finish 4th IMO.
sigurdsson had to tell the boss he actually likes to go do one cos of the wages he was offering. (swansea wages at lfc) now some would say so to that but i nthe end the moment spurs stepped in they were going to pay top 4 wages.
Look at the mess we are in because players like Cole, Aqua, Kuyt, Maxi take up about 5 million quid a year in wages, it needs to be addressed.
Don't get me wrong, world class players deserve 100k+ a week (well they don't but in the bizarre world of football its the norm) and that's why Suarez got that pay rise but of the 4 mentioned above are even close to World Class? None of them.
When you are young and not proven then we shouldn't be offering crazy wages, you should EARN that new contract worth loads of money.
)I do have to say, Chelsea going for Cavani, I can see that as who else do you have other than Torres? ( Top signing it would be too)
But Spurs are still in the hunt for Shaktars Willian and still trying to get Leandro Damiao, they don't ahve anything we don't have other than maybe paying a little more money but for these players it would surely be worth it.
Also think if we are going for AJ we should play a bit of hardball with them, not just stump up 15 mil.
To be fair to Kuyt, he worked hard throughout the years ...
Maxi was a free transfer or (did we pay £2m for him?) - either way, low transfer = high sign on/wages
Being in the Champions League enables you to pay these ridiculous wages. At least we're now rectifying the problem ...
I hope they do get Cavani because then they might let us have Sturridge. I heard that enquired and Rodgers and Sturridge are both keen on a deal but Di Matteo isn't.
Spurs are in the market for some good players this summer.
Even with Sturridge, anything over 10 mil sorry. We seem to be keen on British based players with extra $$$ attached to their name. Walcott would be the same, I know it brings in something we lack but for someone who can be extremely hit and miss to cost say 15+ would be a lot.
True but with a British boss at the helm, I think we can expect more if it purely because they have better knowledge of the English/British market. Just like Houllier did with the French market and Rafa did with the Spanish market.

and which ones did we have some success with over the past 12 years or so![]()
Your name is seriously throwing me off now![]()
