Well, actually it's Ukraine. And, they did win the UEFA league a couple of years ago. But yes, there's no guarantee he would be a success here.

BBC have posted Daws departure subject to a medical.

Really not sure about this - may be decent money but not convinced that he is right one to shift. Daws has been a great servant to the club and has that certain 'up and at 'em' attitude which we are somewhat lacking. Gallas provides experience in spades and is a better all round footballer, but think that Daws would have been happier to play third fiddle and provide more benefits overall.

But whatever the reasoning, Daws was a top player for us and I know he will always be warmly welcomed back at the Lane, much like Robbo.

My bad  Shakhtar Donetsk, are they that mega rich club that starting buying players from south america and then slapping huge release clauses on them?

I'm not happy about Dawson going, but if that's what needed to get another striker/keeper in, then do it AFAIC

None of us knows how this sent down. Maybe, he was told that so long as Vertonghen, Kaboul, and maybe, the others were fit, he was always going to be on the bench, at best. If AVB just doesn't rate him, then that didn't leave him many choices, if he wanted regular football.

    Internacional deny Damiao talks again!

Also the will.i.an chap is supposed to be costing in the region of 18-20m. Surly for that money he's seen as modric's replacement.

Everytime I've seen him he's played on the wing, and looked similar to Lennon to be honest.

Not the right modric replacement IMO. Can someone else shed more light?!

I think the next 9 days we will be linked with pretty much everyone! Everyone knows we are after a Modric replacement and another forward so it'll just be typical lazy journalism. Very pleased Adebayor has finally signed. Mixed feelings about Dawson. I love him as a person and he has been great for us but I will trust AVB on this one. If he does go to QPR I will make sure I am at white hart lane to see him return. It will be quite emotional!

Levy must have woken up this morning thinking it's September 1st after yesterdays tranfer deals.

Anyone know what squad number Adebayor took yet?

What is this guy that can't spell 'William' like? See he's only a year older than Da-meow. Worth a £20m punt???

what i've seen of him, he's a winger. but some seem to think he's modric's replacement, which I find bizarre to be honest.

Oh. I can't remember what gutter press i read it in but they said he was a striker!

    Hey, wikipedia......

"Willian Borges da Silva, (born 9 August 1988 in Ribeirão Pires), commonly known as Willian, is a Brazilian footballer, currently playing as an attacking midfielder or winger for Ukrainian side Shakhtar Donetsk. Willian has also represented Brazil"

A goal every 6 games (and that is being generous) suggests he's not a striker and is indeed a winger/midfielder

i can understand maybe a loan til xmas to get fitness but a whole season? Maybe there is a recall option?
I really enjoy watching Hudd tbh. He'll be wasted at Stoke as the ball flies over his head repeatedly

25 is Ades fav number and as it's available I'd guess he will use that.

Not strange at all unless you look at Stoke as one of our rivals. Hudd had a long time out last season and needs to play regularly. If it was not going to happen at Spurs, then a loan is probaly the best thing.
