Smalling and Jones have been abject failures at CB and both were moved to right back because they couldn't hack it in the middle. Rio hasn't played a decent game in over a year, if he makes it back to an acceptable standard it will be a miracle.

What you also have to ask yourself is why Vidic ran away from Fellaini and made Carrick take him.

I might take Vidic into the Arsenal squad, hoping he comes back, but none of the rest would make it into our reserve team.
