    I can't believe people care so much about what these tosspots think. Just because they were players ( and great ones, some of them) themselves doesn't make them into some sort of Delphic oracles. They express their opinions, based on their own experiences, wishes and bias, and are no more qualified to predict the future than any of the rest of us.

    None of us really care what they say though until one of them is negative about the team we support. I agree that most of it is just whatever rubbish comes into their heads at the time. I would imagine if you asked them on another day they might say something else entirely. I think they are pressured have a fashionable view on the game though which is wrong. Just say what you feel lol Like Savage does lol

    Newspaper publishers have units to shift, TV and radio have airtime to fill, they do this by employing anyone who can talk for a bit without stuttering too much. The concept of them having anything worthwhile to say doesn't appear to enter into it.
    Tbh, I don't give a flying **** what any of them think, nothing they say changes the future, none of their predictions affect the outcome in any way, and most serious football fans are knowledgeable and opinionated enough without having to rely on the dubious "expertise" of the pundits.

    ^^

    <ok>

    Why does it matter what these people think and predict? Their opinions ar as good as any of us. It is in the commentating ( or reporting of a match for the press journos) that bias is really objectionable. The likes of John motson, Darren fletcher, mike Ingham, Alan green have a responsibility to make sure that any personal prejudices do not affect the way they report a match. How many times have we listened to a match on the radio and then seen a different game on seeing the whole match on TV (granted that highlights give a wrong impression) .

    Sorry I am late! That is arguable, however I am sure we could say the same about your club. Manchester United have fallen from the best in the world to the 2nd best in there own city. <ok>

    Which i would do - had i done. Clearly, unequivicably and unmistakably, as we were talking about Hansen and lawrenson (do you want me to supply the quotes AGAIN?) I specifically asked for where Hanson and Lawrenson had predicted that kenny would win the league in his first full season. It's there in black and white (no pun intended). So again, I challenge you, where is that quote FROM HANSON OR LAWRENSON that Liverpool would win the league in 2011/12?

    It's okay to admit you can't find it. :emoticon-0114-dull:

    From what I can remember Hansen tipped Manchester City,and Lawrenson tipped Manchester United in 2011.

  14. Waiting in anticipation and a very well written and thought out response, with a bit of humour thrown in to boot too...
