These are new players that had nothing or little to do with last season. If it wasn't for your midfield you'd have a really good chance of pushing United and City and a bit of steel would help that. It's potentially a very good team but while Rosicky, Ramsey and Song fanny about it's limited.
It was RVP who got you 3rd. Not your mickey mouse midfielders. Without his wonderseason you would have been in the middletable with swansea. Look at the facts.
That is why RvP had a low Goal-to-Chance Ratio. One of the lowest in the Top 6. The service he got from the "Mickey Mouse Midfield" greatly aided him. He was fantastic yes, but he didn't do it alone.
Partly, just partly. It was because that fantastic finishing ratio by RvP that keeped you running. Of course your midfield had something to do with but not so much you would thing. In the match against QPR at loftus road your midfield looked very weak compared to Diakate and co. Mind you after september you probably are die for Diakite to play for Arsenal.
You know literally nothing about him. The only time you could have seen him live he was excellent against you, putting all your aforementioned midfield to shame for his sheer agression and desire, and after a shaky start, as you'd expect from any foreign player, he settled down and was a major factor in our staying up.
I think we'd all like to see Villa go down, and Stoke - now the 'New Middlesbrough' I predicted them to become in 2008 - have the most arrogant fans I've ever met. Unfortunately, I can't see either of them dropping into the Championship, so I'll go for Wigan Athletic, Norwich City, and Southampton.
QPR - reason behind my thoughts is unless they can get something from norwich away i can't see them having a chance of points until game 6 against west ham, if that is the case their beleif will be shattered. a team needs time to gel and i can't see them having a chance to start to building a foundation until then and it will be a big ask with their moral at rock bottom. West ham - i think the hoofball may get them a few early results, surivial in my mind for them is down to the players self beleif, if moral stays high they stay up if it crashes they go down. Norwich - just a hunch, hope they don't but ...... just can't see it happening for them.
QPR (lucky to stay up last year have spent money but still think they will go down) Norwich (cant help but feel they may have been a one season hit) Southampton (2 goals against City still does not convince me they will stay up)
I will. My new predictions: Wigan - Still not convinced they'll have enough to survive. Aston Villa - They don't look too good at the moment. West Ham - I don't see where the goals will come from.
