Doubt it. He's had us finishing 4th in 09/10 (we finished 7th) He had us finishing 5th in 10/11 (we finished 6th) And last season he had us in 6th (we finished 8th) So he's put us a couple of places above the positions we finished last season but I reckon most other football fans would have us around those positions too if they were asked to predict results on a weekly basis.
Thats why I don't dislike Phil Thompson, he wears his heart on his sleeve so at least you know where you stand. It's the wolf in sheeps clothing types I can't stand. Nicholas is ex-Arsenal and Celtic so his hatred of us is double barrel. Merson is the only one that loves us but he's a fan and admits that much like Phil T. Newcastle and Spurs were practically every pundits 2nd teams last year so the argument doesn't wash with me either
Still cant defend his hatred for Newcastle though, him and Waddle (ESPN) just lay into us everytime we are on TV :S
Sunday Supplement on SS1 is just a weekly United tongue-fest and Chelsea bashing exercise. City used to share the journo venom with us up until their club complained about slanderous comments which claimed Mancini stabbed Hughes in the back to get the job, they did the same with Steve Kean as well but quickly retracted it once they realised their previous mistake? Sheikh Mansour is the biggest investor in Sky's expansion to the Middle East so I'm not surprised since then Sky have been a lot more lenient with City and changed their tune
Go on, prove it. Dalglish's first yera in charge? You're saying Hansen and/or lawrenson said we'd win the league? Dogsh!te! Go on, find that quote. this should be interesting...
Just an idea DL but have you ever considered not watching these shows if they are so anti Chelsea? I know its crazy but you know....
MARK BRIGHT, BBC LONDON 1 Liverpool 2 Man Utd 3 Man City 4 Arsenal "Liverpool finished 22 points behind United last season but only Sir Alex Ferguson amassed more points than Kenny Dalglish since the 'king' took over from Roy Hodgson. "Why will they win it? The Reds have four players who could grace any team in the Premier League: Pepe Reina, Steven Gerrard, Luis Suarez and Andy Carroll, then add to the mix promising youngsters like John Flanagan, new faces like Charlie Adam and Stewart Downing plus team spirit, desire and 21 years of hurt." say thanks
Waddle is just a bitter Spud. Don't worry though your playing Chelsea on ESPN so rest assured the commentators will be in your favour. ESPN don't hide their contempt for Chelsea. They even had a panel of Kevin Keegan, Joe Royle and another ex-City player once when we played them and just bashed us from start to finish and even referred to City as "We". That might have been Setatnta actually but it was in the 09/10 season
Just can't watch the SS any more. Especially with that fat turd Samuels. Brian Woolnough - isn't he the d!ckhead that berated the Spanish players for not singing their anthem.... and there's no words in it?
BAR: I think that, yes, City do deserve their media spotlight - as people are forever saying: the table doesn't lie. They won fair and square last season, and they've started as they mean to continue - a feat that neither us (unfotunately!) nor yernited bandit have copied. Baz: I think City do need a signing or two, although they possibly do have the squad to win without another signing. It's going to be another close season between the two Manchester teams this year, I think!
wow, what a prediction and what makes it even more stupid is that the BBC pay Mr Bright to make these predictions.
