    Reports from twitter and the evening standard saying Routledge's contract has been cancelled to pave the way for a permanent move to QPR?!
    I'd probably rather have him in the squad than not, but it seems strange cancelling his contract when we could have waited a few months and sold him..

    Why couldn't we just wait till the summer and sell him for a fee? Instead we have to pay compensation now?

    A mate of mine made a good point, that said there may not be any truth in it. But, QPR are facing a possible transfer embargo over the whole Faurlin transfer affair. So by Newcastle doing them a favour in allowing them to take a player a few months earlier than he was probably going to go anyway in order to be in a favourable position to buy Taarabt.

    All seems a little shady but as I say it as all hearsay.

    Mad if it's true, I don't want Taarabt anywhere near the club. Bad personality that will damage team spirit if he's not in the team. Selfish player that is an excellent Championship player but not anywhere near a decent PL player.

    I'd keep Routledge or we could easily sell him for £2 million to a few Championship sides or lower PL sides.

    If it mutually terminated then we don't have to pay out and would mean that Pardew be after a right winger in the summer, i just hope the reports of Gervinho are true.

    A couple of weeks back there was an article with Graham Carr and he said Gervinho was one of those he has been looking at, along with another player (forgotten who it was)
