Seems totally crazy if we are paying £5 million plus for Dawson. I keep hearing that due the Financial crisis biting really hard all over Europe, and especially in good football countries like Spain, Italy and Greece, that good players can be bought at good prices there. I also kept hearing what fantastic contacts MH had all over Europe, unlike Colin Legend. So what is going on now! All we seem to bringing in this summer is over rated, over priced, rejects from English PL Clubs!!
Hughes original target was Gomes. He was putting pen to paper when Daniel Levy pulled rank over 'Arry and called it off. ITK? Yes, because Gomes told me so himself. On a 747 from Newark to LHR. Anyway, back to the main thread.....;-)
Well hope MH has one of his new Army of Boy Scouts on a plane to Malaga then. And that he comes back with a bit more than a sun tan.
Hope they got it wrong and the fee is 3 million. Does not sound way of business QPR usually do. Well the fee would be undisclosed anyway but this time this possible fee let lots to speculate......
Just goes to show the seriousness of the loss on Saturday. You think we over-reacted? Probably nothing compared to the board on Monday morning. They didn't see it as just another loss. Happy we're bringing in a defender but should've been a proactive signing, not reactive.
Hoillet and Diakite are very good. Green is disastrous. The rest seem like back up players, don't improve our previous best 11. Dawson for more than £5 million seems too costly. Why aren't we bringing in cheaper good quality players from S.Europe, like some of our possible relegation rivals are, and where MH is supposed to have contacts?
BBC report Spurs buying Adebayor for £5 million, and Citeh will be subsidising his wages, and us buying Dawson for a £7,5 million initial fee. Errrr don't know if this true, but would much preferred we had taken Ade for 5!
Crazy money don't like this deal sure we could have done better for less, Swansea's 2mil Michu looks like a steal at the moment.
