Thats a shame - he impressed at the weekend

Still, he'll learn from it and that's what he is on loan for

Michael Dawson to QPR for £7.5M, possibly rising to £10M. English, lots of EPL experience and 28 years - so coming into his prime....:emoticon-0101-sadsm

I thought Aaron played well everytime I saw him play last year and look a little more reliable than Seaborne. Certainly much quicker than the other CBs. I think a year in Championship will do him the world of good and come back ready for next season
Dawson - £9m +£49k per week. Not worth it. Very injury prone and probably not much of an improvement on what we have

That's alot of money for a 28yo centre back, i could understand that for a rising young star but I'd say at 28 he's reach or passed his peach so the only way is down.

QPR first Dawson and now Carvalho on season long loan.

Regardless of Dawson price/wages I would have snapped him up.

I'd have snapped Carvalho up too if offered him on loan.

Carvalho's experience and know how would have been incredibly useful!

You can lack pace but you have to make up for it somewhere else , you can not compare Carvalho to Hooiveld , well you can but it's a bit of a pisstake .

Still Carvalho needs a CB partner with him that is commanding and basically bosses him about or he's all over the place, We don't have that atm.

Aaron Martin is a big guy and I'd e surprised if he was a whole lot quicker than Fonte or Hooiveld. Maybe he's a yard slower positionally and uses his legs to match up? I'd be cautious with regards to a centre half that regularly gave the impression of being quick. Being a centre half is all in the positioning. If they have to break into a sprint, they've probably done something wrong.

I'd like to reiterate that I think it's embarrassing how much pleasure you get out of undesirable situations, just because you get to say "I told you so". I bet you cheered every one of Arsenal's goals.
