I'd have loved Viana to do well. So much unfullfilled talent there

I dont think we helped Viana by playing him on the left, when his favoured position was in the middle.

Jon Dahl Tomasson, thrown into the fray to soon, could of been a legend, turned out to be more of a leg end

Who can forget the displays of the 1998 World Cup winning player, Stéphane Guivarc'h?

I wouldn't call Ameobi a flop tbh. He's not been great, not been awful, he's just been Ameobi.

Anyway I really wanted Perch to do well as he seems a nice lad just out of his depth. Way out of his depth.

Speaking of Dyer's injuries, he went on loan to someone earlier this season (can't remember who), and was injured there too. He went to see the club physio, saying it was the same as when he had knee ligament damage at West Ham. The physio told him he just had some scar tissue, and gave him some exercises to remove it. He hasn't been injured since.

Do you think it may have been the same problem here?

Viana, Luque, Dyer, Parker(favourite player, could be England skipper) and of course Michael Owen.

Could you class Martins as a flop? Either way I;d have liked him to be more consistent.

Id say he was a flop, wore the number 9, had so much potential, but was slow, lazy and inconsistent.

Agree, except I wouldnt say he was slow, just didnt use what he had because he was lazy. On his day though, he was up there with the best.

this when we first signed him i thought yes just the type of player we needed due to injuries he was thrust up front and out of his depth shame we didn't stick with him as he went on to prove what a class player he was also Hugo Viana
