If Fellini can do that to United, Why couldnt Carrol do it for us?

I don't know if Carroll can fit in Rodgers squad till I see him try.

I'd like to see Andy start in a fairly strong XI against hearts to judge.

I remember seeing a graphic and stats comparing Carroll and Torres when we first signed him... in that particular diagram it painted Carroll as hard working and use full all over the pitch from his days at Newcastle.

That's not the Andy we often see at Liverpool but doesn't mean he can't revert to a more useful role.

Andys poor games have all been playing for dalglish... even woy got the best out of him... I think Carroll is unsuited to Kenny's tactics that doesn't mean he can't adapt to rodders.

What has Carroll actually done under Rodgers? I know he hasn't played much...but has he done anything? Didn't he score? Or am I imagining it?

I dont think you lot should sell Carroll he's a pretty good player he was a handfull back end of last season and should be given a fair chance by the new manager..I have a feeling that he wont get that chance and will move before the window shuts tho...

no matter what happens i think carroll will be an england player in 5 years and eithe rmake rodgers look stupid or be his main striker.. who knows.

I can't see carroll becomeing carlton cole honestly, his fitness is not in question since the one injury cleared up.... btw we should be shot for buying injured players.

This is more what i was getting at. silky possesion dominating liverpool getting beat or long ball ugly liverpool winning 1 nil. i know which one id take.
The result is more important than any sdtyle of play.

However having andy as the head of the front free does not mean we need to play hoof ball. the lad has good feet, can dominate physically, hold the ball up and god forbid head the ball. he gives us another option that suarez and borini does not. the more options on the pitch the better. As to earlier post remarking that mf was being marked by carrick. andy does not need a ****e defender to mark him to get results.

I just think a cross and header gets the same 3 points as a 40 pass move with a tap in finish. As all of us of a certain age will know points win prizes.

I personally think Suarez, Carroll and Borini make a better front 3 that includes Downing. See that cross by Borini to Suarez? Carroll would have smashed that in, he never got a ball to him of that quality.

This either one or the other scenario is too simplistic. I want us to play well, and win. The win-at-any-cost or by any method philosophy really doesn't do it for me and I don't think the polarisation is necessary.
After 50 years of following LFC I can't really imagine anything stopping me watching them, but if there was something, then a week in, week out diet of boring, ground-out wins would be it.

Fellaini actually has a n abundance of technical ability on the ball, you'll find we didn't just play hoof ball. we aimed to get the ball into Fellaini which from then on we played some beautiful one touch intrical passing through their defence. but if you can't see that then fine.

  9. Would Carroll have been in that position?
