Really? I could've sworn I saw him deliver that many assists in a single game last year! The Internet must be wrong. It couldn't possibly be me....

Lennon,Walcott,Young are all twice the player that Dyer is.

Dyer has got pace and a bit of skill, but he isn't a player I'd pay to watch.

Dyer's not as good as I thought then. To be fair, I think he got about 10 assists in the Championship.

Dyer has come on leaps and bounds at Swansea. As well as pace and skill, he also has quality and Poortvliet evidently wasn't the one to fix his attitude and realise his potential. The lad is a very good player now. Having come into the big time via the back door, he'll have his work cut out getting properly recognised, but talk of England isn't Ridiculous.

He is a good player. Mid-level premier league quality without a doubt, definitely has the potential to go even better than that and become a great winger this season.

Can't say I feel disheartened in any way by this terrible attempt at WUMmery though. Once he started stealing things I would have rather not had him at saints.

To be fair, Nathan Dyer is better. He's turned his career around and has become the player he always promised to be, when He, Walcott and Kenwyne Jones were in the same Youth side. To think that Bale was waiting in the wings too. Dear oh dear. The talent that has passed through this club. Thankfully, that has stopped. We keep them now.

Well when Theo and Nathan first started to get games in the first team I thought he was better than Theo as he had a better end product.

Also we seem to be very good at developing wide players but we haven't developed a decent player who plays centre back, midfield, strike or goalie for years. We can't have a team only on the wings.

Also Lallana is skilfull but doesn't score enough and I don't think he should play in the centre

Nathan Dyer is a quality winger. Always liked him. Don't care that he committed petty crime, everyone does stupid things as a drunk teenager. Was gutted when we sold him, and am still gutted. Ramirez will make me feel better though!!

Never rated him, so not going to start coming over all lovey dovey over now he's had a few good games.

Should have been sacked, not sold after the nicking incident. It may have been in the Skate reservation, but nicking out of bar staff's handbag is pretty ****ing low. Both him and BWP should have had their arses kicked out the club, wandering around like billy big bollocks, it's not as if they were any good.

That may be changing with JWP and Luke Shaw coming through.

No club should put up with the crap Dyer got up to. These lads have a privileged opportunity and need to know there are lines not to cross. I am assuming moving him on has helped.

Quality definitely but best in England? I'd put Johnston over Dyer. Better shot, More strength and just as tricky. Maybe slightly less pacey. However a great winger needs two feet not just one. I don't thing England has a great winger right now.

I'd wager that whoever plays on the wings will score more goals than Lallana this season. If anything, the wingers need more goalscoring prowess than the central playmaker. Ramirez has a rocket shot and will score a few if he signs.

I am pleased for the lad if he has been able to turn his life around.

He was a good player for us but he blotted his copy book by stealing a woamn's handbag from a night-club. Hope he's grown up a little and learnt his lesson.

Kenwyne Jones wasn't part of the youth set up here.

Indeed, he was transferred in, but did not become part of the regular Reserve and 1st team setup immediately. He played with the Youth setup, or development setup, as we would call it nowadays, hence my statement was correct.

From what i can gather he signed for us (at the age of 20) then 2 months later was loaned out. On his return he featured in our first team. I don't consider him part of the same set up that produced Bale, Walcott etc at all. Sorry.

    Don't apologise.

Jones played in the development team, which included Dyer and Walcott. I personally saw the three perform against Eastleigh Spitfires, at the Silverlake stadium.
