From the OS: Emmanuel said: "I am pleased to be signing for Spurs on a permanent basis after finally agreeing my departure with Manchester City. “It may have taken longer than expected but I am delighted to be back at Tottenham Hotspur. I really enjoyed my time here last season and I am hoping we can achieve great things together again." I wonder what he "agreed with Man City"
There has to be another striker for us to be serious about top 4, and winning things. Hopefully bought in time so can at least be on the bench Sat.
Can he do both SC? I saw that he came on as a sub in Valencia and then played the full 90 the following evening at Southend (and did rather well)
Well as far as regulations go deedub93, then yes he can. In fact Kane is one of 9 over-aged players we have registered in our Next Gen squad. I mentioned it because I was surprised, as football wise, Kane outgrew this level some time ago.
At least we've bloody registered everyone in sight this time! I do not want to see a repeat of last season's farce, especially as we thumped the eventual winners.
It would be a great one to win. To breed a winning mentality is exactly what is needed. Once the youngsters experience success, losing will become more painful. I can understand why we are playing a strong side.
HIC: maybe, but the guy who makes sense to me (even though it'll never happen, and I'm not even sure I want it to happen) is Berbatov. A little old, a little lazy, therefore the one player good enough to step in with no dropoff who also won't get miserable sitting on the bench--he's proven he can both score and sit on the bench with the best of 'em.
crikey, HBIC got there and back pretty quickly. I am hoping that rumour is still alive. reckon he'd be class. ahh well, can keep on dreaming.
It was doing the rounds about five days ago: http://www.espn.co.uk/football/sport/story/165480.html Naturally, the fact Lewandowski himself said he's staying wasn't reported, due to the deluded belief of our press than Man Utd can afford him, let alone him wanting to join them.
bollocks does anyone else get the feeling that "NEW STRIKER 2" will be a loan deal? I think Levy might end up being crafty like he was last season with Ade.
If it's Berbatov (or, by grace of Amaterasu, Hernandez) we'll have done some smart business. If it;s a loan, it probably shouldn't be Carroll - if he does well, the odds of LOLerpool selling him to us diminishes.
I think you are right HBIC, Man Utd can't afford bugger all. I figure they are close to being ****ed. The bought RVP on the back of a share issue with the Glaziers snaffling half of the dosh to bail out there other failing companies. They needed but couldn't afford Hazard or similar earlier in the summer. The share price valued Man U at about £500M so the Glaziers can't afford to sell it, they owe at least that. They also need to keep bleeding it dry for their own ends so there will be a crisis point, this season or next probably when the **** will hit the fan. They won't go the way same way as Leeds or Pompey because there will be much interest in the club, probably from China but I'd like to bet it will be untidy takeover, a bit like Tom and Gerry or whatever their names were at MouseLand. The fallout will probably be the end of Fergie, Giggs, Scholes and a few others. It will be interesting to see, their immediate future will depend on whoever buys them.
were alright on the Dawson front, qpr fans are saying the club won't spend more than 5 million, and we want5.5 for Daws,at least.
