I agree and as I said earlier, £5.5m is a mugging if we accept. But, I always maintain that no incoming manager should be expected to select a player he has inherited and yet would never have bought himself. Given AVB's preferred way of setting up his teams, I think we can safely assume he would never have purchased Dawson, so from this point of view, I can see why he is ok with selling the player. Also, Dawson has worked very hard to get where he is in the game. He had the setback early in his early days with us when he suffered terrible migraines and he has battled back from injury twice, including getting into thenational squad. He is what us old un's used to call "a damn good pro", and he deserves to be playing every week in the PL. If he is to move on, I will feel a sense of sadness because he's Spurs through and through and has served us well. Still think he's worth more than 5.5, though.
Will be sad if Daws goes, but the key remains Ade. WHERE IS HE? It's now obvious, to me anyway, he won't play against WBA, am well pissed-off. It's gonna be just Defoe again, isin't, grrrrr!

YV...Defoe won't be leaving imo...Huddlestone needs first team action...he can't play cos he's been out a year so he remains short of match fitness so it becomes a never ending circle. My suggestion was a loan til Xmas, simply to get him first team games and then have him back. Dawson it seems is going, Like I said I like him but if his choice is bench or leave he'll leave. Personally I think AVB sees Kaboul and Vertongen as first choice with Caulker and Gallas as back up.If so I think that sadly our captain goes.
