I think the reason he (providing we agree a fee with the president of Bologna) Decided to join us instead of you, is because we are above you in the league! All jokes aside would you rather have signed Ramirez instead of Allen (admittedly slightly different players) And would anything outside of the top four be a failure for your club this season? Cheers

Allen and Ramirez are two completely different players. I am extremely hapy with the Allen signing, far better than Adam and Spearing and is someone we really need next to Lucas.

Don't know how it is possible for him to choose us anyway if we never offered him a position.

By their logic he also chose them over Barca & Madrid.... Hear Messi is interested in joining Southampton now are set to become the biggest club in World football.

Didn't Ramirez say he agreed joined you because you offered a brilliant financial package? And hey, notice that you can't spell 'agreed' without greed?

Anyway, we don't know that we were ever actually in for him.

There is a massive air of arrogance amongst you Liverpool fans. I made it clear it was a tonge in cheek comment about Ramirez joining us because we are above you in the league. However, if you did appreciate that there was football in England outside of the PL you would realise the fantastic things that are going on at our club and how far our owners are really prepared to take us.

We get a lot of abuse so tend to be defensive (unlike our back 4 last Saturday). Like I said i think we needed Allen more than Ramirez. Pity you lot couldn't hold on to that lead on Sunday.

I'm not a massive fan of Joe Allen, but would agree that he was far more of a necessity to LFC then Ramirez. Now to my other question, what would be deemed a succesful season for you guys?

A lot of us were giving you guys lots of praise on the weekend btw. <ok>

Top 6 it has to be for me, got to show improvement from last year and need to finish above Everton again as that won't go down very well with anyone.

Lambert to start against Wigan btw? or supersub he is because you forked money over for Rodriguez?

Successful season for me is finishing higher and on more points than last season, win more games at home, beat the lower placed teams more often and still have Brendan as manager at the end.

Southampton play good football, I hope they stay up...

We have been inundated with gleeful vultures off late, however, so we're probably a little touchy.

Winning everything.

Don't be greedy luv!

It would be a successful season if:

We finished 4th, 5th or 6th: Won the Europa Cup: Won the FA Cup and had a good run in the League Cup <laugh>

But, in truth if we finished highe than last season and had more home wins.

Southampton fans shouldn't be so cocky regarding Gaston Ramirez, the deal has stalled. We're still in with a shout, as are Spurs but there is more chance of us making a breakthrough because Ramirez has been insulted by Spurs financial package.
