on a football note i thought rhodes was excellent last night - linked well (he did look larsson esque i must say - in that henrik used to keep the ball even under pressure - if there was nothing on he would win a throw or something - rhodes did that a lot last night) time will tell - i think the price tag is low ish becuae it was league 1 but then hooper wasnt dear either
That's the strange thing about transfers down south. They pay £15 million for any english player under the age of 23 who has played at least 3 minutes of Premiership football, but anyone below the top 10 teams in the championship is considered "diddy level". There's always 1 or 2 bargains to be had down there, a la hooper.
I thought I saw figures of £6 or £8m bids that were to be placed on Rhodes. I also heard that Blackburn had put a firm bid of £4m on him but you never know that may all be agent talk trying to boast up the price. I know Celtic go badly stung by the last player they were reported to have paid £4m approx. for Juarez and in the present climate I would think that about £4m would be the absolute max Celtic would pay. I think Celtic would be likely to get better value away from England and in saying that I am not saying that Rhodes doesn't look a good prospect. The worry I would have with Rhodes love for celtic and with Huddersfield rightly looking for the maximum they can get, Celtic could lose out after a prolonged attempt to sign Rhodes and finish up with nobody.
Poor Pud, if I ever need an idiot I will know where to look. Simon Bhoy, I know you have interest in sucking up to Pud, How do I know this ? Well as far as being a member of this forum, you are still a bit damp behind the ears. You call me Medro which is very strange as Medro was barred from this forum long many a month before. You remember the time your mammy didn't let you on the net unaccompanied. Sure you were only in short trousers then
How do you know what he was wearing? You sound like an internet *****. His Mammy didn't let him on the net cos there's folks like you about. Dirty ol' bastard.
Moses McNeil, you are way before our time. In your day Rangers had a stadium that they could play in. Moses Mc Neil in your glorious days Rangers played in a rented stadium and only owed hundreds of thousands. In your day Moses Rangers had an unbroken History of years. Now your lot is hoping to reach its third month anniversary soon. wee t admits to using the internet to voyeur on wee boys. Shame on you t you have annoyed simple simon, sorry I mean simon bhoy.
I'm not sure how to break this to you Hoopy, but I'm not the real Moses McNeil it's just a user name I use on these forums. They didn't have computers back when he was alive. Never mind now you can have a wee rant back saying you're dead and so is your club. One thing though is it not a bit hypocritical cracking "jokes" involving T and young children after the shiriking you gave Mick recently for the same thing?
Now Mose, I didn't actually say you were Moses, I left that to you. It appears to me that you live in or wish to live in the era of Moses, you are a bit old fashioned. Your support for poor wee t is heart-breaking, still clinging together and never walking away. If you have a brain and you wish to engage it then you might realise any connection between jokes involving wee t and Mick, are merely incidental as Mick freely volunteered his indiscretion and wee t let his lifestyle more or less slip out.
anyway, back to the subject, sort of, I really dont think we are somehow holding out for champions league level players - as opposed to europa league level - its a non existant distinction at our level ; just get in some players to improve the first team ( central defence and some midfield creativityr a different type of striker would be my choice ) and take it from there.
Simon Bhoy, I usually remind posters with limited vocabulary that there is a no swear rule on these forums. I suppose that will make it difficult for you.
Simon is a wonderful example of what happens to a baby who never knew the love of parents. Limited language and raging away. Poor Simon I feel sorry for you.
At least we have a starting point when the men in white coats come for him and ask what's the matter with the wee dude.
I think we are well aware of wee t's preferences on the sexual front. It was good of him to disclose, many would have thought he would have fallen down the sewer to the rest of his folk in SFL3. Seems Simon has a special nose for following wee t as he seems fond of repeating wee t's little simple remarks. Venom just loves to run with the rats.
